So I just watched Twilight and I have a penis.

Yeah I know a few guys have seen it mostly with girlfriends as a sign of commitment but I was dared awhile ago to watch it.

Gotta say I didn't think of it as bad as I thought.

Here's why, I have read the first 3 books reading the fourth (Dare) and there okay, not great but I've seen worse. Same with this movie, I bought it off iTunes since I would not dare buy the DVD in public, it was hard enough getting the books. Anyway, after hearing sooo many bad reviews on it and the hilarious This Week in Geek commentary I assumed it would suck almost as much as Batman and Robin did. Not so much, again not good at all but I've seen far worse.

The effects were bad and I'm no effects guy (FUCK THE SPARKLE), the dialogue between Bella and Edward was cringe worthy, and the friends of hers at school were practically racist stereotypes and also Jacobs dad/granddad. But I liked Edwards family, they were okay aside from Rose, she's a bitch and Jasper really does look constipated, I know he is restraining himself being a new vegetarian vampire not drinking human blood but it was too much also Charlisle for some reason I really liked, dunno why just did. Also Edward wasn't THAT bad. I assumed the whole time he would have the emotionless face and while his conversations with Bella mostly were that around half way through he was okay and he had a smile and other faces so I was surprise by that. I hope New Moon with the money made by Twilight can improve Twilight's faults.

Like I said before, It was by no means good at all. BUT it's not the worst film I've seen, then again I haven't seen sex and the city the movie or many video game movies.

I'm nice enough having a knowledge of the books to give Twilight 2 1/2 out of 5. Not good but not as bad as I have heard.

hahaha, I laughed reading those posts. No my penis is still here, I don't back down on most dares so I thought what the hell may as well give it a shot. I did. Then I wanted to shoot myself reading the first book, after that it improved actually, by no means good books but not shit ones either. To be honest the books are just meh. M E H

2 things about this.....

Number 1. Vampires CANT COME OUT IN THE DAYLIGHT!!!!!
Number 2. If they could they wouldnt (gay voice) SPARKLE!!!!!

I get you can take a mythos like vampires which has thousands of years of stories behind it and just throw that all away which is obviously what this person did with the books and movie but if your going to do that..please....dont make it stupid. :ninja:

I actually got kind of curious myself to watch Twilight after a straight female friend of mine who likes it said she didn't think the dudes in it were all that attractive (after I made the comment, "pretty boy vampires? doesn't sound very appealing").

As far as I was aware the only reason people liked this was to gush over the men in it. Knowing that it's at least possible to like it for other reasons makes me just curious enough to check it out...though I havn't yet :innocentsmile:

I read the books and saw the movie and my penis is here to say, if a guy can survive that, it's just a testament to his manliness.

BTW. I like where this thread is going. Lets make it even more crazy.
