It's a fun game. Things get nice and crazy when your beam is strong enough to launch houses. It's worth the $13 USD or whatever it is at now.

No More Heroes open world bit is very lacking ... but it's not a deal breaker, and if the game was just 100% crazy battles it'd get even more monotonous. It's not a game you can play for many play sessions in a row. It's definitely a game you need a break game with, you know, something to offset it. Assassin's Creed would not be that recommended offset game <_<

I'm not really playing any Wii games at the moment. I'm concentrating on some other junk I never got around to. This isn't to say I don't have a stack of Wii games to beat, though. I have many to play.

Awesome, I'll definitly pick up Elebits if I ever see it, if not there's always eBay. As for No More Heroes, i'm still mixed on it, and NMH 2 is coming out this year....but eh, if i see it used for cheap i'll probably grab it. And then there's Zack & Wiki, definitly need to get that one. have you played it?

Way to hit send twice.

I bought Zack and Wiki awhile ago, but I haven't played it yet.

I highly doubt No More Heroes 2 is coming out this year. I know your favorite site ever, IGN (second only to Cnet) says it's TBA 2009 ... but it's labeled as such because they almost always label a game announcement as the following year TBA. Suda51 even said, when the game was announced, that it would not be coming out in 2009, if I remember correctly.

IGN is the shit....CNET not so much. Ya ya, there was that time where i went HDTV Anal about that LCD vs Plasma thread(which was retarted in the first place, since Plasma is better period) because i was looking to buy an HDTV and it's difficult because there are so many options and so on.

But fuck it, i aint goin HD til the Wii2 hits in 2011 baby. :confident:

Definitely NOT Wario Land: Shake it!, as that was probably the biggest waste of $30 I've experienced in years. It just wasn't fun like the GB Wario Land games. There were NO helmet power-ups or anything of that sort. It was gimmicky and lame, and I hated it. The only upside to it were the pretty graphics. Oh, did I mention it was also really SHORT?
.

Short? you obviously just blazed through the levels withought trying to do the objectives. I bet you couldn't beat the game aiming for 100%, it's so difficult and makes the game ALOT Longer....and its the only way to play it, it makes the game so much more fun. If you dont, then it takes away so much of the experience. this game was amazing, one of the finest and most clever SideScroller games i've ever played and i've played a ton. There are so many good things about this game. As far as the controls, they werent gimmicky at all, they were great and beat out traditional controls and added alot to the game. Also the music was fantastic, some memorable tracks and there, while some are duds. And really, in ways i had much more fun with this one compared to Galaxy at times. This at least offered a far greater challenge(again when doing the obectives)....I'd really love to see another 2D Wario Wii game, but it sold poorly....stupid people.

And Honestly, nobody can fully judge Wario Land Shake it unless you've gotten 100% or close to it at least. I remember some other person several months back making his own thread on this site about this game because he was simply amazed by it, and so am I. This, Mega Man 9 and Braid were amazing SideScrollers. Yet Wario Land Shake it! has got to of been the hardest SideScroller I've ever played in years(completing all of the Objectives of course). Really though, it's such an underrated brilliant game.

Hey, Einstein! You know what makes a long game? No, not that stupid objective/sidequest bullshit. What makes a long game is a LOT OF FUCKING LEVELS! I tried playing the game, beat it getting all the treasures, found some hidden stages, and decided not even to play those, because this game just isn't fun. I don't give a shit if it's one of the most "challenging" platformers ever. Fuck, I could make an insanely hard mario hack, all I'd have to do it make one really huge pit with one or two platforms in it, but would that make it good? Would that be fun? Perhaps to masochists, but not to me.

Don't even bother trying to call me some kind of stupid, unappreciative casual gamer who doesn't like hard game, because I'll have you know something: I AM THE MOTHERFUCKING GUY! I can make a fair judgement of Wario Land: Shake it! because I beat the motherfucker, and I didn't feel like forcing myself to play it again. I didn't go for 100% because I didn't want to play the game, whereas I did in SMG/SLG because it was fun, and I did want to play the game more.

Spoiler for hugeness.

I fixed it.

And I have a plasma TV, it's really not better (just cheaper). Visual quality is about the same (as in, if you're complaining LCD doesn't look as good, you're pretty much splitting hairs), but burn in is just too much of a deal breaker for realistic use (it's still a very huge problem, and any publications that says you should worry about it less than you worry about burn in on a CRT screen is a bunch of idiots).

And, to note, laserview technology has the same issues as DLP.

OLED technology blows it all away, anyway.

Hang on a second. I just have a question ... Did you just say in an argument that you don't want a really difficult platformer because you're not a masochist ... and then you tout how great you are at I want to be the guy? (Where you played for 9 hours and died over 3000 times)

That doesn't seem odd to you in any way?

Let me make it clear: I don't want to PAY for a difficult platformer. IWBTG was free, so I can't complain about that game's difficulty, but I've proven I can play a hard game, therefore showing I'm not an entirely wussy gamer. Yeah, it does seem odd, but Wario Land wasn't even a "fun challenge". It was just tedious, and it pissed me off. IWBTG, on the other hand, made it at least entertaining with the deaths and difficulty, with all the VG references and such.

Sure, whatever you need to validate your statement.

Why is it, whenever someone is a complete tard about expressing their opinion and people get annoyed, that the tard turns around and says, "Aren't I entitled to MY opinion?". Well, of course you are ... but you don't have to be such a tard about it.

I get Waveboy came off as rude ... but ... it wasn't really enough to warrant your massively pompous "rebuttal" post.

Whether you hated the game or not is of no consequence. It's how you acted like a troll that labeled you a troll, in this instance. WaveBoys initial remarks to you not liking the game were slightly condescending, but ... that's not enough to start the fuck-you-shit-storm-patrol.

Ahh, Mario Kart Wii, i'm thinking about picking it up used but it was a bit of a dissapointment. I didn't like how they changed how you dash and grind around the tracks...And Balloon Battle mode is only time based which totaly sucks. Not to mention, they should of had an option to turn certain items off, like the Blue Shell for example which is totaly cheap. Items like that and a couple of others really make the game feel like winning the race is all just based on Luck.

SSB Brawl is fantastic, although i still think Melee is the better game when it comes to controls in ways, for ex. Brawl messed with the air dashing, insteda you just do a quick animation and sink to the ground which sucks, where as in Melee you could control it in the air and it would do more of a hover like animation. Brawl is also slightly slower and feels a tad bit on the floaty side compared to Melee. And wow what a dissaopintment Target mode was, talk about Lazy. It was so much better in Melee because each level was based on the characters abilites ect. But everything else in brawl is better, although that Sub Space adventure mode is seriously mediocre

lol break it up you two. And sry Crono, editing my Post and saying IGN is shit is ridiculous, it's the best gaming site on the net(or one of). And Gold Xf we get that you hate Wario Land Shake it, but geez man you just came off like a crazy hating troll. Also Crono, you're wrong about Plasma, i dont know if you've even seen the latest 09' displays or whatever, but LCD just doesn't stack up. Unless you prefer artificial Colors, inferior motion handling, grey black levels and input lag....the downside to plasma though is image retention and those annoying green phopsher trails when gaming.....really though, both technologie are bogus and flawed. There is LED which is better than LCD, but it's still not up to snuff with the leading and high end plasmas....but whatever, OLED seriously needs to come out soon, but when they do holy shit will they be expensive...But if i had to pick and choose now, i'd go for a Panasonic G10, and i wouldn't even consider getting an LCD, hell that shouldn't even be an option

Gold XF, you need a heavy lesson on sarcasm. :disappointed: You, obviously, have no idea between the difference of someone disagreeing with you and being annoyed at the delivery of your opinion. Do you honestly think I would have made fun of you if you weren't such a prick about it?

I used quote boxes because staging a conversation on a forum with quotation marks is silly.

Waveboy, forget it. Why don't you go read IGN's new list for the day? They can't seem to do anything else. <_<

My favorite right now is Super Smash...which isn't saying much for the recent titles that have been released...

My overall favorite was Twilight Princess...I know it's not an exclusive to the Wii butttt...I don't care :-D
