DMC4 is a great game, but if you're like me, you'll wish for more Dante and less Nero. Also, the final boss battle...not so epic... The last boss battle as Dante though... Now that was awesome!

Game: Mega Man 2
Platform: Nintendo Entertainment System
Genre: Sidescroller Action
Pros: Neat graphics, gameplay, controls and music for 1988/1989. Quite possibly one the best of the 8-bit era.
Cons: could be difficult for newbies...
Buy, rent or skip: its a must buy for expert gamers

See, I know very little about Devil May Cry. Never beat a game, only played it a little when the original came out, so I'm pretty excited regardless of who I play as. Good to know that it was worth purchasing, though. I've been putting it off for awhile.

I finally found Pro Evolution Soccer '08 for Wii at the Futureshop on the north end of town. I've never really played any other soccer/football games, so I don't really know how it compares. It is really accessible though, without feeling gimped and childish.

I want to blare some music while I'm playing it to liven up the mood, but the commentary is so dry it ends up being hilarious.

"WOW" is the best way I can explain NHL '08. It's vastly improved over '07, mainly because of the most improved Teammate/Opponent AI, new skating physics, and puck physics. The game just plays a lot more like a real NHL game, the CPU will run plays on you, work the puck around, and will just do everything you'd expect them to do in certain situations. The game also has this AI adaption type thing where if your doing the same thing or trying to exploit something over and over the CPU will try to take that away. Man their is so much more in the game, such as creating plays and picking the type of offense/defense/penalty kill/penalty attack sets you want your team to run. My only complaint is the CPU still isn't aggressive when it comes to checking. Many times it's really lopsided meaning you'll have like 20-30 hits and the CPU will be 10 or under. Overall it's the most fun I've had playing a hockey game in awhile, if your a fan of the sport you wont be disappointed.

The good thing about DMC4 is you don't really need to know a lot of the story from the other games. Just a brief background, like who Dante's father was and to a lesser extent who his brother was.

The game focus' mostly on Nero but with Dante in the mix. I love Nero's powers, but not so much his personality. I like Dante's smartassness (yes, I make up my own words).

Thank you sir! I'll look for it... discounted of course because I am in fact very cheap hahahaha! That sounds a lot more challenging. In any of the other games I could ramp-up 20-0 games no problem. 07's control scheme was just aweful... took the fluidness of 06 (which I loved, it was like I had total control over my player) and just shit all over it.

I've heard nothing but good things for 08 so I'll pick it up. Thanks again man!

Haha, no problem. I was like you, very disappointed in '07 so I was very hesitant to buy '08. Now I'm mad at myself for not buying it sooner.

So, what is your newest game purchased? I recommend to say the price too, at least if it's juicy. :P
Mine are:
F-Zero (PAL CiB) for 19€/30$. Pretty cheap for good game with everything in box.
No More Heroes (PAL NiB!) for 13,5€!! (21$) Generally you pay at least 40€ for a new Wii game. Usually almost 60€. And I thought SSBB was very cheap in Play-asia for 40€. *__*

You can also tell about anything game related purchases. Art books, guides, Wii Points, boxes, controllers, consoles etc.

Unopened Ninja Gaiden Trilogy for SNES for $200 bucks. And, an unopened Dreamcast still in the box for $150. Not playing them either.

My latest buys were The World Ends With You, No More Heroes, and Resident Evil 4 (GC Edition). Before that, I picked up the MGS and RE essential collections, as well as MK: Wii. I haven't played No More Heroes or RE4 yet, although I plan to try No More Heroes over the weekend.

Here what I got over the past month:

Super Smash Bros Brawl
Great game, but a bit disappointing, and the online is horrible

Okami
It has some minor flaws, but other than that, it KICKS ASS! It's one of my most favourite games of all time!

Mario Kart Wii
Really fun, the online is actually done really well, and there's just a bunch of things that feel "right" with this game. My main gripe is that the items are really annoying and have too much influence on the outcome of the races. Once you get up to 150cc, if you're having bad luck with the items, you aren't going to win.
