On the bright side Deadpool and Punisher are going to have a showdown, so... maybe the action will be awesome.

Half of the problem with Games of Death was that it had some rushed pacing, Deadpool was in disguise for more than half of it and the narration was not set on Deadpool for most of it and hence, we lost a lot of what we love about Deadpool. If its more centered on Deadpool this time around, then we might be okay. Needless to say, if this guy screws up Deadpool again. He's on my black list.

And WTF, Link? Putting Oz on your girlfriend's list! Sure, my g/f reads it too, but I'm not ashamed to say that I'm getting it for me too. The art is awesome and the storytelling is great as well. Own up to it!

Oh, I read Oz too, but I primarily buy it for my Girlfriend, as she technically "owns" the issues. Supposedly Pride & Prejudice is pretty awesome too.

Stuff I'm picking up on Wednesday:

BATMAN BATTLE FOR THE COWL #2
SECRET SIX #8
DAREDEVIL NOIR #1
DARK REIGN HAWKEYE #1
DEADPOOL SUICIDE KINGS #1
MARVEL ZOMBIES 4 #1
PUNISHER: FRANK CASTLE MAX #69
DEAD IRONS #3
ARMY OF DARKNESS #19

I'm really looking for to the Secret Six, as I have yet to be disappointed with that title. Dead Irons is also cool, even though I'm not a huge fan of the art in it. Punisher Max is also picking up steam with the "Six Hours to Kill" arc. Its the best stuff since Ennis left the title.

Black Panther STILL feels like a waste of money. I bought this under the impression that there was going to be a NEW Black Panther, and if it doesn't END with a female Black Panther as showcased on the covers, then I'm dropping this after the Dark Reign arc ends, and even then ALL this has to do with Dark Reign is how Black Panther wound up "dead" in the first place. Bleh.

I had my feelings about this...glad I followed my instincts and steered clear of it.

Well, I felt bad for essentially "ignoring" Black Panther and being clueless about him, and I figured since this was a new volume in the franchise it'd be a good starting point. Unfortunately it's just boring and I'll be thankful when the Dark Reign arc is over unless they really wow me.

The only Black Panther books I've read are the tie in to Civil War (his and Storm's wedding) and the Secret Invasion tie in.
Besides that the only stuff I've read about him is in other books that he's appeared in.

I've gotta say, while it has nothing to do with his own book or storylines, I was extremely turned off of Black Panther when while he was part of the Fantastic Four (after the Civil War) and he put and kept the Silver Surfer in a hammer lock  . I was like "That's bullshit" and just can't look at him without thinking about it and shaking my head.

The only thing that interests me about him is my nifty little Marvel Legends figure (it's pretty cool looking I must admit). Other than that, I have no real interest in reading about him. I know who he is, I know his origin and what he does...I don't need to know anymore.

EDIT:
oh yeah, what I'm reading this week (Going by Marvel.com according to about the end of March, so this might not be totally accurate?)
-Amazing Spider-Man #591
-Dark Reign: Hawkeye
-Deadpool: Suicide King #1
-Marvel Zombies 4 #1 (I don't even remember part 3 ending :-? )
-Thor #601
-Ultimate Wolverine vs Hulk #4 (3 was a let down...but fuck it, I'll finish it)
-Wolverine: Weapon X #1

Forgot about Thor #601, feel the same about Ultimate Wolverine vs. Hulk...but as far as Marvel Zombies go...Part 3 was it for me. They really beat that horse to death.

Finally got to play a little bit of catch up today with Old Man Logan, Moon Knight and some Battle for the Cowl stuff. Money and time is still kind of tight because of projects and graduation is approaching. June can't come any sooner.

And as a little bonus for myself I snagged the Executioner RE5 figure and the new Yellow Daredevil from the Hasbro Legends series.

Link, I'm surpriesed you stuck with Blank Panther after the first issue. I read it and thought "nope, I will not waste my money on this".

Well, I figure I may as follow it until the Dark Reign arc ends and make my "final judgment" then. Chances are I'll drop it, it's not the first time I've followed a "bad" comic through a story arc (Anita Blake for example.)

I've followed books through bad arcs (Punisher Max), so I can't blame you there.

Suicide Kings was decent. The writer has a different style about him. He seems to write Deadpool as a much more "serious" character, then again considering the only other major thing he's done is write the new Moon Knight, that doesn't surprise me too much.

I thought Hawkeye was a pretty fun read this week.
