So, The Loners is a spin-off series from Runaways by Marvel. It essentially consists of a lot of ex-teen superheroes who have retired and/or trying to return to a "normal" way of life. The story takes place briefly after Civil War, and a year or so after the events of Runaways TPB Vol. 4.

The "group" consists of Turbo, Green Goblin (Phil Urich), Ricochet, Darkhawk, and Lightspeed. They all go to a self-help group meeting by the name of "Excelsior" for recovering superheroes. It's essentially like AA for superheroes. The series plays out like a lot of the famous "teen movies" like The Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, etc. In fact, in a "Marvel Zombies" sort of way each issue parodies a famous teen movie poster. For amusement purposes I've included the images for reference:

Haven't finished the series, in the middle of issue 5 right now, and it's just amazing. Give it a looksy, you won't be disappointed.

It sells in a 6 issue TPB for around 10-15 bucks if I remember correctly. It's not that expensive and it's a good read. I got my copy from Mile High Comics, but I also saw it in my local comic shop after making the online purchase.

I finished it. God damn, I hope they make the other 2 TPB/series like they had planned. I'd hate to see the series just end like this! :(
