I've decided to reserve more judgement on The Black Knight until more information is released.

I do find it hilarious that Sonic having a new spike is supposed to be interesting when he has five on his back already. Sweet ironies.

I wonder what 200 new characters they'll add to the game this time? Are there any animals left to exploit?

The Sonic RPG actually piques my interest somewhat but this just seems like they've made a game and need a gimmick to get it noticed. Maybe I'm just too Cynical for my own good.

re-reading and going over whats already been shown. I agree with you on this one. I think Unleashed and Chronicles look great so far and I think they should have just left it with those two.

As for new characters in the black knight I heard that the following may make an appearance:

Dave The Pygmy Marmoset
Gerald The Horse

Alistair The Jellyfish (he can travel through time as well!)
We don't need any new characters unless they kick absolute arse!

See I think you people are over exaggerating, I liked StH 2006, and all the 3D games, sure they weren't the 2D Games of yesteryear but so what? They were fun in their own right, to be honest I think you people don't want to see anything else besides Sonic the Hedgehog Remake version 999999999999 where the only difference between it and the last trillion remakes is that sonic's nose is flattened.

Damn, no dave, gerald or alistair! To be honest I was kind of joking really with the characters bit. I have absolutely no problem with new characters, just as long as they are good characters. I liked the addition of Blaze, although I think they still could do more with her. I didn't like Silver though, I just thought he was kind of boring! I just don't want characters introduced without good reason to.

I absolutely loved the majority of the 3d sonics. In fact, Sonic Adventure is actually may favourite Sonic game! *hires bodyguard* I loved Sonic Adventure 2 and I recently ordered Sonic Heroes and I don't think thats too bad either (sure its different but that doesn't make it bad).

I just didn't like STH 2006 simply because I didn't find it fun and I personally thought that the controls were a nightmare. I mean it just seemed to try and recycle old ideas from the sonic adventure series in a bad way. The blatant copy of the whale chasing bit in the first level to emerald coast in SA just made me think they weren't really trying. Secret Rings was nowhere near as bad as 2006 but I just didn't like the feeling of the gameplay. It felt like you were trapped and you had no choice but to go foward.

I mean all I've been waiting for was Sonic Adventure 3 and I have no problem with change as long as I feel its good (I'm one of the few looking foward to using the werehog if you look in the sonic unleashed thread *hires more bodyguards*). Yeah I am REALLY looking foward to Sonic Chronicles and Unleashed but I feel that the black knight is too much and may just turn out be a bit too gimmicky and for the money. I really do want to like it though so if I'm proven wrong then that would be great!

I don't intend to have a go but I just thought I'd let you know that I love any sonic games as long as they are good, whatever format they may take! I agree with you that too many people want it to be 2d all of the time, with just sonic. I always thought the sonic adventure route was a good one myself but unleashed and chronicles look damn promising!

With some more footage Sonic and The Black Knight does look a hell of a lot better than before....but thats not why I write this post. I don't know if anyone else has played it yet but I think Sonic Chronicles is pretty damn good at the minute. I haven't completed it yet so I can't give the full story but I think so far, Bioware have done an awesome job on the game and I think it ROCKS!!! I can't wait until unleashed also!

Honestly, and I know I've said this before elsewhere, but Sonic was good until the dreamcast died. Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 was well liked by many, and the reviews from back then were very positive (moreso for 1 than 2) but after the Dreamcast died they just stopped caring, made horrid games, and introduced a thousand new character that I don't care about... I really wish Shadow STAYED dead too. Sonic was once awesome, and at least nothing can take away the glory he had back in the day.

that is true. there hasnt been a good sonic game since the dreamcast went away. when sega had there consoles out, they had great sonic games. but ever since they have stopped, they havent made a sonic game up to the quality as sonic adventure 1 and 2

the only people i knew playing SA 1 and 2 were furries. swear to god.

From what I've played so far, it sucks.
I thought the "normal" Sonic parts were ok, not great but a real step in the right direction.
But then I played as the Werehog and OH MY GOD is that boring, he kinda reminds me of Beast from the X-Men

And what's with his shoes?

The first Werehog stage took me half an hour to do, I was sooo bored afterwards.

At the moment I'm stuck on the first flying stage with Sonic flying with Tails, I'm not having fun with it.
