Something I Neither Understand Nor Believe

So I haven't done much research on this, but this seems to be the common thought on the subject:
AIDS started because some guy fucked a monkey and then fucked a human.

Why I don't believe this:

When was the first reported incident of the virus? (I'm seriously asking because I don't know)
For how many centuries have their been guys fucking monkeys?
For how many centuries have not had AIDS as a result of fucking monkeys?

there isnt an agreement about how it begun. some says that was because of *eating* monkey meat. others, more 'conspiratory', was due experiments with vaccine for a disease I dont remember well.

I myself believe it was man made. I do know that it first showed up in the 60's and 70's. Sounds to me like biological testing to me.

If that's the case, then Why? Population control? Subjection of the masses? To what end is this a mean?

A different friend of mine told me that the virus has been around for centuries. I'm a little busy working on an unrelated script so she's going to find me some info on that.

I'm sure there's numerous theories, I don't think "some guy fucking a monkey" was the origin. I've heard it was due to using a dirty needle. I know they've pin pointed it to Africa but the original causes of AIDs are up for debate.

There are two theories about that. First one is that soldiers from that area brought it back to their home in America. Or it could also be that immigrants brought it along.

The most likely explanation I've heard is it was created, by accident, while trying to find a cure for polio in the 30s. When they were adding the disease to monkeys to find shit out. They injected a chimp (They were, I guess, not suppose to be using chimpanzees during this, because something like this could happen), and, that's how it started.

How the first person got infected, I don't know, most likely a bite from the carrier.

This explanation seems MUCH more realistic than the "it was engineered to kill black people" or "some guy fucked/ate a monkey" explanations.

I believe scientists generally agree on the idea that the virus is a mutated form of a related virus found in monkeys in Africa.
I don't remember the details but the internets should have that stuff documented somewhere. Either way the original virus eventually made a hop from one species to another and the rest, as they say, is history.

That the virus was created by accident might sound plausible but the fact that it's a story that's been passed around as an urban legend of sorts for years makes me skeptical. Especially since the scientific community considers it BS.
