The FAble 2 limited edition box set has been downgraded, it will no longer include the hobbe figurine, fate cards, or the iron tin, everything else is still included.

This game is going to be excellent. The addition of co-op is great, so now my girlfriend and I can play together (she's the one who actually got me hooked on the first Fable). Well I'm not as excited for this as Fallout 3, it's still going to be an awesome game and something I hope to get for xmas.

It also seems the limited edition has been shafted again. The second dvd will now only include the making of, instead of the diaries, soundtrack, and I think there was a hobbe short as well.

The contents of this thread has literally ruined my day, I was so stoked for that Hobbe figure and the rest of that shit, and now there is nothing.

Almost makes me want to just buy the normal edition

The Patch for Online co op they said should be available within a week of release. Does anyone want to go through the whole game with me when it comes out? Of course I'll have already beat it on single player.

Well okay, since you seem to want the attention Axel, I'll step up on my little soap box for a match.

Fable 2, it better be what we were promised last time. I frankly remembering getting burned by the Fable IP back in the day, and I remember how I just kept thinking that the Lost Chapters might fix some of that. Big promises broken in the first installment are sorta used here, which I better not see messed up after I beat the "story".

They said in the first Fable, "Sure! Male or female! You choose!" Which that went the way of the dinosaurs real quick didn't it? Then we got, "Multiplayer? Okay! Full story multiplayer!" And I even foolishly held out hope for the Lost Chapters to fix this. "Cursing? Yep! That's there to!" I don't know how many times I stood still for those darn knock off werewolves to curse me just for the experience. All of these things haven't made it into Fable 2, that much I know, but me? Personally until I see someone else show me how this multiplayer works? I ain't buying.

On the subject of multiplayer for that matter, achievement whoring is just going to be astounding. I expect most people to have the 1000 Gamerpoints from that game within a week of it's release, and I don't mean the hardcores either. Look at them, you don't even have to do anything for 90% of the game, just watch someone else do it. Correct me if I'm wrong, but achievement means you pulled something off, like managing to kill over 10,000 enemies. (poster would like to note he's well aware some people punked out in that achievement, it's simply there for argument sake.)

My entire deal with this game is that I just never got over being burned the first time. Thankfully this time they shut their mouths, or they said the patch would come in the week. I might pick the game up in summer of 09, when it's price dropped and the few DLCs are released for it if any. Oh, and on the subject of DLC? I better not see a Lost Chapter pulled on me, where whatever enemy I killed the first time comes back.

Me want attention, Nevah! I just find it hard to believe the whole community of TGH, doesnt even talk about this game even though its released in 13 days.

1. Achievements are bad? Peter himself said though he likes the achievements he doesnt want them to effect how you play your game, He doesnt want you going after achievements.
2. The First fable game was a great game none the less, Also for this release, would you rather have a developer who talks like his game was a chore to make, or someone like peter who is excited himself.
3. Also lost chapter there are some returning characters from the first game from what I've heard, I'm willing to bet one is scythe. Dont know how they'd work in any others.
4. I'm confused about the bolded part, It seems you either have no clue what you are saying or you didnt word it correctly.

I had a realisation yesterday that Fable 2 just came out, so I hurried to a gamestore on my lunchbreak to get it, but they didn't have it. Luckily before I could go and ask where all the copies were, I saw a poster that said "coming 24.10"

Also, if at all possible, the first thing I'll do when I get the game is i'll kill the dog.
Its just an annoyance that you have to take care of or it'll get bitchy on you just like Roman in GTA IV

You cannot kill the dog. The dog is not going to be annoying.

It shows you were hidden treasures are and points things out you may have missed. Also you dont have to take care of it. You can leave it completely wounded and it will try to limp its way to you. You can play with it, and you can teach it tricks, such as to attack a downed enemy, or to attack a gun enemy when your using a sword or vice versa. So it wont be a pain like Roman, it will be your helper for most of the journey.

Yeah, but just SEEING another person do the achievement? The list looks like 90% of the game you can just view others doing it for you. Personally I want to earn those points, like in Armored Core 4A where killing a walking weapons platform is a challenge. I personally feel like it shows the measure of a game when it's achievements just don't seem that hard to get.

No, see you're trying to make it sound like I didn't want to hear anything, which is untrue. My entire point is he opened his mouth last time, stuck his own foot in it, and now I want to see him choke on it until I get all the features in one game that he promised the first time. Let him tell me about things he KNOWS will go into a game, not what he thought would only to realize that he and his team might not have had the chops to pull it off then. The verdict is still out on the multiplayer for me though, since it could still be terrible depending on how it plays. Yes you could tell me, but we all know things can look awesome on paper and look like vomit when put in reality.

Scythe was a sure thing after reading the back log. I want a new angle though, not something as stupid as Jack of Blades coming back. Jack of Blades was a horrible villain as far as making his presence known. When he did make it known? He wasn't all that scary, nor did he strike me as all that powerful. Like I said, no problems with someone like Scythe or a slight joke of someone from the first game's ghost making an appearance, just no Jack of Blades.

Also what you bolded was me pointing out some features, that while we have some of them this time, are just not there. Getting cursed, making your own armor, forging your own weapon, and other things like that which are not going to be what he said they should have been last time. Slotting in abilities and power ups into armor and weapons is nice and all, but me? I want to be able to reforge a sword if I just like it's look but it's less powerful then what I need. I also have the sneaking suspension rifles will get the shaft, which while I give it's still black powder and musket bullets, still should not be over shadowed by say a throwing a dagger.

There is a new story, its suppose to be much better than the first game, also from what We've Heard two characters are comming back. Theresa and Scythe, I have no fuckin clue how they are gonna get her back, I can understand the other but, Theresa I dont know. Jack of blades will in the most case not come back, in TLC he was destroyed.

The Achievements are so others dont have to start multiple play throughs, And be able to do what they want in their world and still obtain all the achievements, with a game like this where every choice may fuck you over, he offers a way to get an achievement that would go against your characters thinking. Remember its a Role playing game first, and not achievement with a game attached.

Those would be nice, But even though they are not in this game, you have to look at what is. Peter has only stated what was in the game so far, and whining about the features that did not make it into this game, makes you seem for a lack of a better word a whiner. So some features werent included in the game, All those that were so far seem to make up for it.

Now what you seem to be doing in most cases, Is attacking peter and not the game in question. Yes he opened his mouth the first time, this time however he kept everything underwraps, with the exception of features that are currently in the game. You should learn to give second chances instead of being stubborn and refusing to believe that peter has matured since the last game. Also from what I can see, You just want the game to fail, just so Peter eats his own words. Any real gamer doesnt want a game to fail just so a developer he doesnt like chokes on his own words, he wants that game to succeed so that they have something worth playing.

See but you say suppose to, but what proof do we really have? Hey I can accept being part of the same bloodline as the Hero from Fable, I really can! But like I said? Jack of Blades gets in? It totally kills what I feel should be a huge step forward for that universe. I don't believe as you do because I think blindly following a company is stupid and lowers the "gene pool" of good games. I'm more for showing me a good story, a good system, good controls, good experience, and who can keep a decent face in the public square. There may be a problem with that Hunter. Its announced as a 360 Exclusive, not microsoft. Which means that it has a high chance of it staying on the 360. At the lionhead forums, various mods/delevopers have stated its 360 only. So you may have to go for the 360 version.
