So yeah, to be honest, I ain't much of a gamer anymore except classic collection and football games I rarely buy anything. I guess it's a loss of interest.
So yeah, any football guys, what's your favourites from days gone by? I mean if I asked "what's your favourite new football game?" and anything other than Pro Evo or Football Manager were mentioned, I'd wonder what the hell planet you come from.
I'll start with a couple.
Nintendo World Cup: What do you get when you cross River City Ransom and football? Pure awesome, that's what. Even if you're an American who think that football is modified rugby(just a joke, I'm actually quite partial to some gridiron despite not having good grasp of the rules) and like a bit of 8-bit shenanigans, you'll probably enjoy this, especially with 2-4 players. Great game.
Sensible Soccer/Sensible World of Soccer: 8x8 pixel players punting a 2x2 pixel ball around a field that's probably like 200 yards by 500 yards at ridiculously high speeds, comical shot/pass curling skills, stupendously bad goalkeeping and up to 64 players in a tournament or league? Bring a crate of beer each, lads, we're in for an all-nighter. Words cannot even begin the describe this game. Just watch this video. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=NNyU4xc-G6Y
There's more I could go on about, but I'll just list a few, and maybe let others elaborate or give their thoughts on the games I mentioned.
Other honourable mentions: Kick-Off, Striker, Goal, International Superstar Soccer Deluxe
