Sig Of The Week 13 - Superstitions!

INTRO

IMPORTANT RULE:Seriously though, when you're going to vote for a sig, you need to write more than a sentence. Try to at least write a decent paragraph if possible. End of story.

Also, usernames in your signatures are now optional. Anybody can slap a username on a signature someone else made, or photoshop out someone else's signature and put in their own.

ENTRY RULES

- The sig/tag must be somehow related to this weeks theme.

- Sigs may not exceed over 450(w)x250(h).

- No sigs that you made 30 days ago or older that just happens to fit the theme.

- Animated GIF file size wont be limited, although, use common sense, no 10min long animations or anything like that

- Sigs are due every TUESDAY AT 11:59 EST by posting in this topic, or e-mailing them to thescarletorder at gmail dot com (no exceptions)

- Hosts have a right to deny entries for reasons not listed above, if it so happens that you think your entry is denied without fairness, please take the problem up with me.

VOTING RULES

- You cannot vote for yourself.

- When VOTING, please state [b]"I vote for _____, because _______." This is used to determine how you vote. If your vote is based on just your favorite character or franchise, your vote will be denied. Please vote based on your favorite design and/or style. Please try to be descriptive as possible.

- Votes simply based on sexual themes or similar themes shall be denied, as well as votes based on favorite game and character. We're voting on DESIGNS not which character is the hottest/coolest.[/b]

DESCRIPTION
So... it's the dreaded number 13. A number presumed to be unlucky. Well, there's tons of other superstitions out there, and I figured we'd do a little 'theme' based off the SOTW number. So... black cats, ladders, broken mirrors, etc. have fun with it people! The benefit of this SOTW, I think, is that it shouldn't involve any real characters or anything, so it can potentially eliminate all bias, even if it's subconcious bias, and be done off pure creative juices.

I'll try and cook up an entry for this, I was going to just not enter due to time constraints, but since folks don't seem to dig this theme, I'll try and prevent it from being a one on one.

Furia. It is the one that stands out the most. Mainly because it is extremely different from the others. Everyone else went the norm and picked out a superstition, he did something else.

Nosebleed because overall, I think it's the best. Nice gif transitions, good concept, well executed.

Ha ha, never thought I'd get a vote in this one but ............. :-D

Well my vote goes for Nosebleed. It fits the theme perfectly, the animation is executed well into making you think of a mirror breaking. The look on the guys face is pretty funny. Overall it's the best. Link's was good too because of the choice he made going a different route with superstition. Mirror breaking though, it's perfect for this SOTW.

EDIT: Mad props to Stevie Wonder. He's the shit.

OH YA: Superman64 that gray and dark gray shape you used combined always looks like a wii to me every time I see that sig.

I wanted to do broken mirror, but I already did that with my 'Insanity' signature so I had to do something different, haha.

AKADave gets my vote btw. It's not the best salt shaker render in the world, but the font looking like 'scary' salt spilled into letters, and all the blood, etc. just makes me laugh really hard about how serious business it is.

I was going to do Grues, but I realized that they have to have complete darkness. Wouldn't make for a very exciting sig, rite?

My vote goes to AKADave. I like the background he used and I always like objects in sigs that come out of the background and onto the page...if that makes sense.

Furia: I didn't even think about that, but you're right...it looks exactly like a Wii.

My vote goes to Nosebleed's "Broken Mirror" signature.
A really interesting design, it has Hitchcock feel to it. Overall perfect composition and transition animation.

Honorable mention; AKADave's "Salt" signature, good composition and nice coloring.

Nosebleed crushed the competition. Guess it wasn't a popular theme in terms of voting or entries.

I always hate when a ton of people vote on one, and then next we nobody votes. :-/
