My vote goes to Snake91. Gotta love the Bebop. I just wish it had my name on it.

Well... outside of it being the best, imma need a little more elaboration out of you.

Okay, I liked the abstract art style, the "split-level" design, and the little bubble things coming out if the gun. :3

Although some votes is arguable if they follow the voting rules...

I'm going with Snake. The picture of the main character in the foreground is done very well and very stylish looking. His colors are bright and well done, and the extra effects make the whole sig pop out and look all around cool, which I'm hoping that's what she was going for. The only problem I have is her background. While it's a good idea (putting a collage of sylish screenshots from the show), the colors just seem too dark and off, and the quality of the shots looks just a little sub-par compared to the clean look of the main character.

Overall, though, it's a very well done sig.

I'll 100% officialize the votes, but at a glance I think snake won.

It's a tie between Snake91 and Superman64, allow me to explain a quick few things here:

Voting ended on the 5th AKA Friday at 11:59 PM (I just wasn't here to edit the topic and remove the 'vote' part from it.) so Sollah's vote, even though it's well written than half of the votes in this topic, didn't make the cut. Apologies to Sollah.

Classyman's vote also didn't count due to, well... lack of a reason outside of "Yeah! Bebop!" and even then most of the other votes were a stretch until I provoked an answer.

Snake91 could've EASILY won this if people would have taken the extra seconds to type out some sort of response outside of "FUCK YEAH! COWBOY BEBOP!"

Also, and this is a personal thing, I think THEME should play a very hardcore part in voting, although maybe I didn't really specify it that well in the description. Snake91's sig is VERY well done, and overall a wonderful design, and just all around a winner. However, from a 'cyberpunk' standpoint, the sig looks too much like Bebop and not enough like Cyberpunk. It's not dirty or gritty or dark colored or anything, it just looks like a Cowboy Bebop sig, and while it does fit the rules of the theme since Bebop DOES count as a bit of Cyberpunk, it just doesn't visually lend itself to the design.

Now, this isn't JUST for this sig or because I'm being biased or anything (and I'm sure it looks bad that I discounted so many of snake's votes, I swear to you snake I still love you, don't think I'm just being a jerk for jerk's sake.) This has happened with other themes before, where the design, while cool and awesome, just takes a render from a series or whatever related to the theme, and does something entirely different and/or unrelated to the ESSENCE of the theme.

Example:

If I took a picture of... Jerome Bettis (a famous football player and now news anchor) and put him in a field of flowers, and the theme was 'sports'. Sure, it's Jerome Bettis, and he's a football player, but... he's totally out of his element, fields of flowers have nothing to do with football or sports in general. That may be a bad example or too extreme of an example, but I think you all get what I'm trying to say. If Snake's sig was Spike, and the background reflected more of some of the cyberpunk cities found in Bebop, then it would've just worked better as a Cyberpunk theme submission.

Just my two cents, and all I'm really trying to say is "Vote off design, but PLEASE take themes into heavy consideration when voting too. It should be half design and half theme."

My response to this wall of text is...

Fuck yeah Steelers and Jerome Bettis. *FLEXES*

Oh come on! I would have written out a more in depth vote but I don't even know the first thing about signature design, nor did I have the time. I just thought Snake's was the coolest looking one. Is that a crime? Apparently so. Sorry Snake!

Anyway, I guess next time I vote I will write it out in a more descriptive manner.

Nah, it's fine you thought it was the coolest one, but I need some more emphasis on WHY it was cool it can be as simple as "I like the colors she used" or whatever, but just saying "it's cool" gives me little to go on. I must've overlooked the post, and I apologize for doing so and not asking you to be more specific. :(

I gotta agree with Link. The theme is important, while snake91's and Superman64's sigs were awesome looking I didn't really consider them "cyberpunk" so I couldn't vote for either of you.

Actually Superman's sig was EXTREMELY cyberpunk.

Image

It's more or less a run down and/or damaged entry keypad of a building. That is the essence of Cyberpunk.

EXAMPLE: It's the keypad for an apartment in a city, it used to be fancy and new and sophisticated, and over time and the ages it became vandalized/destroyed/damaged. That really reflects the High-Tech + Low-Culture feel of Cyberpunk.

The keypad could've been on a door or an elevator in a scene like this:

Image

This is another example of a Cyberpunk store/building:

If you ask me,TheGameHeroes should make this part of their intro.

I just did what Wikipedia told me to do..
And Link, I did actually try looking for more "cyberpunk-esque" pictures for the backdrop, but all I could get were extremely bad quality, so I had to stick with the intro
