Unfortunately LimePenguin, like MANY awesome things born from crazy Japanese PC games, we'll never see any of it ever. :(

But the DS is a Universal System, so you can still play it!

Won't make a lick of sense unless you speak Japanese, but hey!

I just noticed some one edited my first post...Looks nicer now!

This show was praised nonstop by most of the anime fans around my area.
4chan was nuts about it, too.

I didn't like it too much, since Yandere characters tend to annoy me.
Kinda strange, because I can usually tolerate Guro.
That and I guess it just didn't "click" with me.
It was unique, though.

Just got done with season 1, and It was great, I loved the final part. However, I'm still kinda confused. Perhaps kai will clear this up?

Just got done with that part where Takano kills off everyone, and I can say. I KNEW IT WAS THAT FUCKIN CRAZY NURSE. I knew it since I saw her >D, well I didnt know what, But I knew she was doing something :yuush: Now I can just hope that they all remember what happened instead of just rika, since they all held hands at the end and the it flashed. If not I'm very dissapointed. :serious:

Man, that is one of my favorite parts of the second season.

From what I understand, Kai is the animation of the Answer Arc of the games. I know 07thExpansion calls it "When They Cry 2", making Umineko no Naku Koro Ni "When They Cry 3", which makes me very confused, since Umineko has nothing to do with Higurashi... :-?

Duuuhhrrrr why watch Kaiji when you can have NA-RU-TO.

Why is it that good anime with brilliant stories are always over-looked in favor of mindless 500+ episode bore fest? <_<

I couldn't have said it any better :-)

So I finally finished the anime, and I've got to say it was great, Each story pulled at your emotions in different ways, and then in the final arc of season 2, All the questions were answered. At the end even though I was happy for everyone, I couldnt help but feel sadness for Takono, with her words "I just wanted someone to tell me its alright to be alive.", thats when the tears started to flow and even till the end I was still tearing up. But then the very end, I was like What the FUCK!? Riku is an adult and now she went back in time to save Takono :wut:.

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!

Gah, big font, big font!

Okay, so Yen Press has recently started publication of "Yen +", a monthly manga mazine that started its run this month! Now, its nine dollars and you get about fifteen long chapters of various manga from both sides of the Pacific, but what makes this relevant?

Only in Yen + will you find FIRST translated chapter of Higurashi!

The translation is spot-on, and it even includes a silly (yet totally funny) Omake with Keichi dressed up as a Cicada!

...

It makes about as much sense as it sounds.

...

So go out and purchase "Yen +" today!

Oh, and for Axel...

Spoiler
Believe it or not, there's still a huge debate over what happened at the end. Some argue that its one of the Witches from Umineko no Naku Koro Ni, and others think its Rika going back in time and trying to save child Takano. Personally, I don't know, but I got misty-eyed when Rika finally got to see July...
