Everyone gets depressed from time to time - it's just a part of life. So what music helps you to snap out of it?

One song I listen to when I need some lightening up is "One and the Same" by Rob Dougan:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TYdWm4Faabs

It's a little cheesy, but damned if it's not uplifting as all hell. :-) So what about you guys?

Man I love that song! When I'm feeling down sometimes I want to listen to dark or depressing music that I can relate to like AFI or Bright Eyes. other times I listen to uptempo like The Aquabats and lots of ska.

Sweet Child O Mine.

One of the best songs ever, it so beautiful, and always gets me out of anger problems.

Lava Reef Zone Act 2 from Sonic and Knuckles is pretty close, though

Yeah, I can go depressing or rock out - just kind of depends on my mood. I actually like to listen to wrestling themes sometimes to pump myself up from a depression.

If I'm depressed or angry about something, (this may seem wierd) I listen to Who Are You by The Who. Seriously, whenever I listen to this song my balls turn to steel and I feel like I can confront whatever is troubling me easily. Like one time I punched a kid who was making fun of me after listening to this song. I'm not sure if that's good, but the kid didn't make fun of me anymore.

Why would anyone want to snap out of being depressed? It's probably the most inspiring and profound feeling in one's life!
I usually use music to enhance it :O! Some good depressive black metal is useful there. Doom as well - bands like My Dying Bride.
Oh, and Vangelis' soundtrack to Blade Runner. Now that's good stuff!

But if I actually want to snap out of it, death metal's the shit. Deicide, Cannibal Corpse, Vital Remains, whatever. It's the happiest kind of music out there :O!
