Well....the time period to submit has come and gone. And I am extending it to tomorrow night (Friday 11:59PM) because two entries just ain't gonna cut it.

Come on people!

Don't just focus on the Disco aspect, but also look at the sex, drugs and other debauchery that this time period is infamous for!

Ok I finally came up with something, I watched Saturday Night Fever like five times, took a bunch of shrooms and a few hits of acid. Not really sure what happened afterwards, but for some reason I got a conformation email from Amazon.com for the purchase of 20 pairs of bell bottom pants and 5 pairs of platform shoes.

My vote goes to Indomitus, mainly because he took the theme and ran way outside the box with it. Plus it made me LOL pretty hard.

But anywho, I vote for Link's Hiro-kun fever. I liked the design, very colorful and groovy font.

It was indeed sad that this thread didn't get that much attention... But don't give up Beeslo! I believe you got more awesome themes in you, keep em coming.

Nah, I'm still here. Indomitus gets my vote, simply because of the snazzy animation. It gets a little intense at one point with a lot of vibrant colors very fast, but it's still pretty awesome.

since i didn't submit this week i figure i'll take this time to critique each sig individually starting with my vote.

link, you have my vote. while i never understand the reference to your obscure anime selections i do enjoy them and this one i like a lot. the star font is cool and suits the club scene you've depicted. the flashing colors and image compliment each other very well, the color transitions fit nicely. my only gripe with your entry is that the flashing text pattern seems too sporadic, if it was more linear pattern than just jumping all around it would've been better.

i almost gave my vote to indomitus but since mario has nothing to do with the 70's, i didn't. i love the animation, the real mario to cartoon mario transition is hilarious. there's only two things i didn't like. first is each of your layers in the sig didn't need a stroke it makes it look goofy, if you used outer glow that would've been a lot better. my other gripe is that each mario image is cut off at the top of the chest and pulled into the middle of the sig, if you had cut off the marios on the border of your sig it would've made it a lot nicer.

psychomantis83, while i love the design i felt your main picture was too generic, granted it's from the disco fever pinball machine, it's still too hokey. also the disco fever in the center looks a little goofy you should have left the disco fever from the pinball machine that one looks better. other than those two everything else is great, the two silohettes on each side are cool and the light effects shooting out from the main picture are awesome looking over all a very nice design.

sidenote: where's this week's SOTW?

What does "stroke" mean? is a PS function? (Sorry, I don't work in PS)

Stroke = Hard Line Outline on your images instead of a light feathery glow effect.

SOTW = MIA 'cuz I forgot and because Beeslo made the timeline out of whack, so I added a Showcase of the Month to make up for it.

My Sig = I was aiming to make it a bit random in terms of text jumping, I wanted it to go up and down alternating the text/words, but I had some issues with using all the colors evenly, for the transitions, and somewhere along the line stuff got out of whack.
