Dead Rising is still one of my favorite games on the 360. Its one of the few that I'll throw back into the 360 at random times just to fuck around that mall killing zombies. Goddamn, zombie killing is so much fun. :-D

I'm just pissed off they haven't announced a Dead Rising 2. I mean, this seemed like a no brainer to me. But if this long wait just means they are really concentrating on making it a sweet game...then no problem here whatsoever!

Dead Rising, rox! :yuush:

I completely agree, killing zombie had never been so fun. I'm a big fan of zombie movies, Dawn of the Dead is my favourite, so it goes without saying how much I love it.

One thing would make this game even greater...ONLINE! Imagine you and a group of friends running around a mall or and entire city/town trying to survive :yuush:

Goddamn...I would crap myself if they did that.

There actually was a pretty big industry rumor suggesting that Capcom was going to release an add-on allowing that. But its possible they are saving it for DR2...

A Dead Rising 2 would kick ass! Though it should have online play and have some problems fixed that were in the original.

Hate to be the one to rain on everyone's parade, but DR2 is only being considered, not produced. In a recent interview with Game Informer magazine, Dead Rising producer Keiji Inafune has set the record straight on the current status of a sequel to Dead Rising for Xbox 360, confirming that a follow-up isn't currently in production.

even if they decide to go forward its probaly going to be a while, a few months ago I remember reading that the company that holds the rights to the original dawn of the dead was suing the makers of dead rising for stealing thier IP - which if you ask me is assanine as the only things they share is a shopping mall setting and zombies, this may have gone away by now or it may still be in the works slowing things down even further.

in any case I agree this is an amazing game - one of the few unrestricted zombie games, just go around and kill zombies - and the bit where you can run them over with the lawn mower is a nice little nod to dead alive ( at least imo it is )

We can only hope that this game gets a sequel. First time I ever played this game I thought it was a bit overwhelming with all the things you could pick up and do. Once you get the feel for the game it's hard to put down. Killing hordes of zombies by running them over with a lawn mower is satisfying. Hell killing them with anything is satisfying. Here's to hoping this game get's a sequel. :yuush:

I played this game when all I had was a standard TV. Now I'm sure everyone knows how hard and difficult it is to play it that way. You can't read the ticker at the bottom, so you lose a lot of time trying to figure out what and where you're supposed to go.

For everyone craving "REAL" zombie survival... i think the closest will be Valve's Left 4 Dead... though, it's not the same experience at all either.

Frank West is some kind of bear man. He can tear off heads, punch you in the stomach and rip out your innards, and takes a kick to the balls and doesn't even flinch. Frank West is MAN incarnate

Dead Rising is an amazing game. They will make a sequel eventually I'm sure. They need to fix a few things though, like the retarded survivor AI (at times out of pure frustration I would join in the maming of one or two of them), the text, being able to stab Otis in the eye (god I hated him). I didn't find the saving issue too much of a problem though, but everyone complains about it. Just find a washroom and go! They're all over the mall, many in key areas to fight bosses.

On this note, I am excited for Left 4 Dead. Not a "true" zombie game, but it will be truely awesome! Can't wait to play it on a gameday!

The only part I hated about that game was the damn time limit. Every time I got close to killing my 10000 zombie, I would have to get to the roof and catch the chopper. I wish they got rid of that and had you go around the mall looking for radio parts to call in the chopper or something like that.

I also hated how there was no warning when a weapon was about to break, so you could be mowing down zombies with a chainsaw when all of a sudden it breaks and you in the middle of a crowd of brain hungry zombies with only your fists to defend yourself.

Last save point, here I come!

Yep. The time limit was always my biggest gripe too. Its like, here you gave us this giant zombie sandbox to play in...don't tell us when we have to get out. What I wish they did was give you the ability to miss the copter and then just keep playing on...and put the game into a survival mode. But if you miss the copter, the game over screen comes up. Lame. I know there is a survival mode that can be unlocked when you beat the game, but honestly...I am no where near the end of the game...ever. Why? Cause I'm too busy fuckin' zombies up! :yuush:

You can tell when your weapon is about to break actually, it starts flashing in the box.

There's also a second rumor that if it is in development, it is being handled by Blue Castle, the team that did The Bigs(Multiplatform) for 2K sports. They are a 100-person team based out of Vancouver. I'm not quite sure how I feel about that. On the one hand, franchises like Metroid did pretty well when the reigns were handed off. On the other hand, franchises like Tomb Raider were murdered when the reigns were handed off.

Of course, Tomb Raider was pretty dead before that anyways.

Ain't that the freaking truth. My eyes now go in opposite directions thanks to the fact that the text looked like someone spread mayonnaise across the letters.

Edit: There's a little rumor flying around that Boomstick69's next review will be Dead Rising. That would kick some major ass.

Quick tip for fast leveling: The couple on the roof. Rescue one, Reunite them and quickly snap a pic of their hug. If you time it right and are properly zoomed in the pic and rescue will get you 20K exp. Kill Frank, save stats, repeat.

I also love this game and create local accounts just so I can replay the game from level one.

Goddamn...I'd shit my pants if they announced that one. Everything else would become obsolete as far as I'm concerned.
