^pretty much this. Once Super was announced the value of 4 dropped to like $5 so I imagine MvC3 is now just as worthless a couple months out the gate. I thought the whole point of DLC characters was to cut out this kind of dickery, expand the game so you didn't have to buy a whole new game just for a couple extra characters.

What about those who got Jill and Squid dude? Are they going to have to rebuy them again? Are they going to come unlocked in this new title? Either way you double boned those people.

I think Capcom is now more evil than Activision and EA no contest

Actually it looks like Street Fighter X Tekken will be the better game now. At least that game doesn't disappoint with the character roster because I at least know what to expect.

Yeah, so in a way, it's a good thing.

All these characters would have cost nearly double the amount of this version if DLC.

Of course, it also fucks over people who bought the first version, which is a kick to the nads.

And people b1tch about CoD coming out once a year. Hey at least you get a different campaign and set of multiplayer maps and when they decide to release a map pack you don't have to run out and buy an updated version of the game.

This is like Madden 12 only containing 20 NFL teams and the Colts only if you pre ordered. Then 6 months later they have Super Bowl Madden 12 that has all the teams. At best it comes off as lazy and at worst a total cash grab.

Orginal relase had 38 characters for $60, so for 12 more characters that should be $20. Why you couldn't have sold this as DLC like the Street Fighter Arcade Edition for $20 is beyond me. If they still wanted to release a redux version for $40 with everything then cool, but at least allow players who already supported you and invested in the original purchase to buy in at a reduced price.

Agreed, they should have some sort of "trade-in" thing going with Gamestop or other places, where if you trade in your old copy you get 25-50% off.

Thing is, Gamestop is going to get a flood of trade ins and are going to be unable to sell the inferior version of the game. So Capcom pretty much killed the market value of the title.

Then watch 6 months after that they make you pay $15 for Mega Man, Venom, Zombie Ryu, and Bone Claw Wolverine. Then Ultimate isn't so Ultimate after all. Looks like Capcom has its fans all figured out.

Everyone complained about it and it killed the genre.

At least Rock Band let me move all your DLC between games and export the tracklist so you could play your songs in the other titles as a massive playlist.

Megaman X. Ehh.

We just got 12 people way better than that guy, and I'm fine with that. Tron Bonne and Zero are the best MM characters anyways, IMO. Only MegaMan I want is Megaman.exe, maybe Bass.exe.

Sad to say it but it might be the end of megaman. Looks like they're happy milking away their figting game and Resident Evil franchises.

They say the reason why they made all of this on a disc rather than DLC is because of the earthquake and the tsunami. The disaster ruined their schedule. So don't blame Capcom, blame mother nature. But I'll still blame Capcom for not including Gene! Fucking douchebags!
