I'm kind of curious as to why game reviews are only done for games that are nearly twenty years old. Some are interesting and whatnot, but I think there are just so many people doing it that I just don't care all that much anymore.

Why not try some current games? Or maybe some ps2/xbox games?

Believe me when I say this guys (Tom/Andy/Jared and co.) the LAST thing I want is to see the show go by the way-side (fucks that even mean anyway?) but there was a pretty big lack of content.
I still get a kick out of all the random silliness (Jared eating the marshmallow basically mid thought and then having trouble chewing it? Makes me laugh, what can I say?) but there either needs to be more segments or new ones or flesh out (again, weird phrases) the ones you already have so they last a bit longer.

Maybe review something every episode? Not like a special review like a CGR, but just a "Hey check this thing/game/movie/whatever out and here's what I like or don't like about it". Sort of like a Classy Find but...not.

Have a challenge every month. Couple of you play some MvC3 or CoD or Mario Kart, ANYTHING! See who's the champ.

You know, little things that can last more than a minute and a half and a time and bring potential "lols" but most importantly entertain and keep peoples attention.

So while I didn't necessarily have any personal issues with the most recent podcast, the criticism concerns me enough that I say you've gotta work on it. I'd hate to see viewership decline and then result in you guys saying "fuck it" and lose the drive to do it all together.

Don't take things too personal either. Some people have a shitty way of putting it, but, all criticism should be used constructively, even if it comes across as trolling.

:-)

Im not a big forum poster, more of a lurker, but I would like to weigh in. Ive seen every podcast that TGH has put out, and honestly it was my favorite show on the site. The short segments are great for gaming info but there was just something about a group of friends that got together to have fun and talk about gaming and were genuinely enthusiastic about games. I think thats where this sites strength lies. People like Screwattack because it is portrayed as a fun place to work, this site was different in that you didnt want to work for them but hang out, drink, and play games with them.

I understand the business side and wanting to seem more professional, but I think its taking away from the sites strength.
Just food for thought:
1. I would brand TGH site as a fun place to hang out and be entertained but at the same time be able to get all gaming info here. Right now if I wanted gaming news/updates I could not come to this site alone.

2. Release shows consitently on specific dates. THe shows seem to be released at random by who gets their editing done first. Kudos to Tom for THe Prototype.

I really enjoy this site guys and want to see it succeed. Please dont kill the podcast.

I finally got a chance to watch this and I have to say it was nice to be able to see the baby!

As for the direction this thread is going, I still vote to bring back 8-Bit News!
