Yeah Boucher is my 3rd goalie so I got destroyed... I've had a very painful few weeks in the pool. My defencemen have been dropping like flies to injury, my goalies have been sub par and have lost 3 matchups in a row now. I'm now in 3rd and could possibly drop to 4th unless I have a big week. ugh....

I think Chara got carried away, heat of the game or not, you know where on the ice you are and he followed through with the hit knowing the divider was coming up, he could of rubbed him into the bench or waited until after the glass divider before completing the hit and it wouldn't of influenced the play at all. I don't think it was done with the intent to hurt, but I think that playing it off as "part of the game" as Bettman and the NHL did is silly.

I wasn't going to be surprised if he got suspended but I don't care that he didn't. Hard play that went horribly wrong. We could go over everything that happened with fine-tooth comb but it's been picked apart to death. Also, the Montreal fans, media and all those companies stationed in Montreal looking to take advantage of the situation(Air Canada and VIA rail, looking right at you) AND politians need to shut the fuck up. Seriously, you all sound like morons and a criminal investigation? Nothing will come of it and it's just a stupid PR move. Makes me very angry.

You know what also makes me angry? Losing in the first round of the hockey pool playoffs to Canuck... damn it all...

I'm in the semis, and off to a good start at that. :-D

He got the rest of the regular season and the first round of the playoffs for that. 14-17 games, and McDonagh wasn't even seriously hurt. Maybe the NHL has some balls after all.

NHL had to put down the hammer on Cooke. Campbell had no choice or his job would be at stake. Justifiable suspension for an idiot player. Seriously, how stupid is he for making that stupid hit on a week where headshots have been the talk of the league. Get him out of the damn game I say, and that may be next if he does something that stupid again.

Congrats to Canuck for placing second in the first GameHeroes hockey pool! My jerk former college roommate took it so I hate him. Yay 6th place for me... ugh... It was lots of fun and I want to thank MrMulligan for setting this up for us. Let's do this again next year! Maybe bet some money on it or something!

Well playoffs are just around the corner and... not overly excited. Probably because no Sens. If the Blackhawks fall out of the picture I really won't be paying much attention to the first round. If they do I will be all over the Hawks/Canucks series.

Sorry, man, I tried. Ironically enough, it was Henrik Lundqvist and his two shutouts that week that knocked me out.

I would love to do this again next year. Not sure I would lay money on it, though.

Don't feel too bad about the Sens, Mr Black. At least they were bad enough to get a good draft pick. The Rangers, on the other hand, are looking at another 9th place finish.

Well seeing that loss to the Ducks....I still say that the Duck will be CHAMPS!

And I got tickets for Friday's game so I'm just happy to see some damn good hockey after a few weeks of crap.

God I hope the Ducks don't win it. After beating the Sens in the final in '07 I can't stand them. That and they have Emery and for the shit he pulled in Ottawa I can't support him.

Hoping for either the Blackhawks, Canucks or Bruins. I'll be keeping an eye on all the series but those are the teams I hope do well.... unless the Hawks and Canucks play each other in the first round...

Haha I was actually bullshitting about that. Fuck no I hate the damn Duck. Hated the fact that they beat my Sharks. Anywho tonight's game was awesome I wanted Sharks to win again but well...Yotes pulled it through.

Overall I was satisfied since I do want the Yotes to get more respect from the league and wins are always awesome. Too bad my Sharks are still sliding.

I'll cheer for the Yotes, but as I said before there's no way I can support a team with Dany Heatley on it. They have players I really like too like Couture (former Ottawa 67) and Boyle (an Ottawa boy) but I hate Thornton and I HATE Heatley with all my being. There are a lot of my hometown roots in San Jose with Wilson as GM (he's a former Ottawa 67 and drafts a ton of them). Get rid of Heatley and Thornton and then I may start to cheer for them again.

Rangers backed into that last playoff spot because Carolina dropped a turd against Tampa Bay. That couldn't have been much closer.

I like this matchup. Rangers went 3-1 against the Caps, and two of those wins were total shellackings.

Sens canned Clouston?

Yeah wasn't surpised about Clouston getting the boot. His contract was up and someone had to take the fall. Murray got a 3 year extension to try and fix this mess so it had to be Clouston that took the fall. I liked him as a coach, he could only do so much with what he had. Well should be interesting to see what happens here over the summer.

So Hawks and Rangers squeak in. Some interesting matchups this year. I think the Rangers have the potential to upset the Capitals, without Pronger I think Buffalo has the potential to upset Philly (with him it's a different story as Pronger really is built for playoff hockey), I REALLY hope Boston takes out the Habs (if I have to hear that stupid olé song once someone will get hurt) and I'm going to say Penguins over the Lightning for my East predictions.

West is a bit harder for me. I think the Canucks and Hawks may be the best series in the first round (either that or the Habs and Bruins) and really was rooting for both teams. Even though I want the Hawks to win I think the Canucks are going to "slay the demon of playoffs past" and take the series. I think the Wings will beat the Yotes (but I think this is a very underrated series. It will be a good one to watch). Sharks will beat the Kings (if Kopitar was healthy I would have given the Kings a chance) and the Ducks and Preds is really up to one factor: Who will be in net for the Ducks? If either Hiller or Emery get healthy I think the Ducks will win but if Ellis is the starter then they're screwed. Hoping for the Preds though as I want the stupid Ducks to lose.

ugh... fuckin Hawks shat the bed again. Oh well, didn't expect them to beat the Canucks and as soon as tonight's game's over I'll jump on the Canuck bandwagon. Just happy the Bruins decided to play hockey last night and beat the Habs... but wow Thomas looks shaky. I would think about moving to Rask in net right about now.

Oh man that was such an AWESOME game between the Sharks and Kings. Who would of expected that spectacular comeback from the Sharks. Couture IS the Rookie of the Year and no one can argue against that (Go ahead and try).
