I love Jim Sterling. I agree with his views on writing reviews. I don't understand why you have your panties in a bunch about his score on certain games. Just because someone else doesn't like a game, it doesn't mean your personal value of it has to drop. You should reevaluate your perspective here.

A professional what? Reviewer? Journalist? Blogger? He gets paid to be what he is and do what he does at Destructoid. That's professional work, I consider him a professional at what he does, whatever that is. I think you might just be putting some kind of projected outside context of what it is to be professional around his actions. Personally I look at reviews as collections of an opinion. There is no possible way to judge a form of media outside of scientific mathematics in an unbiased way. Reviews seem to be the formulations of the opinions and the projections of value of a person. If you don't mesh with a like minded reviewer, chances are you won't agree with them on many things including the game, movie, or book they're reviewing. If you don't like Jim Sterling then move on and find someone you share like minded opinions with to trust.
