YIBR Special - Let's Play #1: X-Men Arcade (XBL)

Hey all!

We apologize for the odd delay, we had a series of technical issues but we are proud to give you guys a treat this week! We are temporarily diverting from our normally scheduled programming to bring you a YIBR first! We made a Let's Play video! And like all things Yamagato, this videogame is comic/anime related. We're not gonna go stomping off into The Game Heroes or TGWTG's territory. We're gonna keep it real and close to home. The video is uploading as we speak and will be live within an hour or so.

A quick wiki search says that the lvl 4 boss is Nimrod... But it really doesn't look like him.

We have faces made for podcasting. ;-)

Really though, it's just a location thing, since we're from all over the states. Although that doesn't prevent us from individually being in front of the camera in our own separate things like one-shots, etc. Much like Beeslo did sneaking himself in the intro.

Glad you liked it Andy! We had a blast doing it (all 3 times.) I'll probably be uploading a bloopers reel of the other 2 runs, since the audio captured and folks might be interested in just listening to some of our dialog.

I dunno...it's kinda close.

Fun fact: The above was drawn by John Romita Jr back during his stint with Uncanny X-men. I liked his stuff back then...it was a lot cleaner than his work nowadays.

According to Wiki it's Nimrod. I can't find any pics of him with that design though.

Although there's this.

But I'm not sure if that's Nimrod or Master Mold.

Either way, good stuff guys, more let's plays are definitely welcome in the future. :-D

We are already discussing this. They will be YIBR Specials...so don't except them all the time...but more will happen. That we can guarantee you.

Always feel free to make suggestions for future Let's Plays but do keep in mind that we want to keep things comic/anime related.

thats what i thought too and if i didnt say it during this playthrough, i said it during the 1st or 2nd one

Hence part of my regret for having to kill them plus the were slow moving, non-threatening looking and made sad little squeak noises when they died.

I mean look at them. So innocent looking...it was almost as if our battle with the Sentinels happened upon them in their natural habitat and we just go and kill them without discretion. The X-Men are no better than the Nazis.

I always thought they were giant aborted fetuses. But that's just me.

As for the video not enough drunken swearing but overall good...for a bunch of sober guys.

And how I feel on those "cute" enemies? Like Koari, I keep thinking E.T., who I think is creepy as hell. So these guys are creepy as hell, and need to be killed. :-D
