Agreed. Monthly news just doesn't cut it. Daily hardly cuts it anymore with all of the news sites that fire this stuff out at automatic weapon speed.

Game Heroes needs to become the first gaming CNN?

I'm not suggesting that, but I am suggesting that monthly video game news is a bit silly. Gaming magazines normally do a "good/bad/ugly" look at the month, and that's okay because it's a quick rundown of the best/worst the month had to offer. But any actual reports aren't needed at that point.

A monthly "good/bad/ugly" in the podcast wouldn't be such a bad idea now that I think about it.

There's so many gaming news sites out there though, I really don't mind that the Game Heroes doesn't have a news show. I'd rather they just focus on the great original content they already give us.

Agreed but that kind of defeats the purpose of a podcast imho. Podcasts usually involve some sort of discussion of some sort between people, talking about important topics or things. Right now "The GameHeroes Podcast" is sort of like a TV show but not... or just a bunch of different show segments that could be released separately throughout the month but in one giant video instead.

It'd just be nice to have some legitimate game discussion going on with theGAMEheroes that isn't relegated just to the forum questions. Granted, they mentioned the whole debate thing so maybe that'd be cool, but I think there needs to be a section of the show where anybody and everyone can just be like:

"I have some shit I want to talk about. Y'know that new game that came out? It's fucking awesome." or "Did you hear about that law being passed in California? I think this could fuck up the game industry and ESRB ratings if it gets passed." or "Nintendo just announced this new console and I'm kind of thinking it might be a piece of shit for the following reasons." or "Those VGAs were a fucking mess." I dunno, it'd just be nice to have some open discussion/thoughts on stuff going on in the industry/world related to gaming.
