Plus, it's always nice to have an opinion from someone who isn't an expert, and while that Magic review may have sucked, with a little/lot of work it would have been a nice review for the amateur/newbie Magic player.

Good point, and I've seen a few second opinions on BT.

Only reason I said I was the JRPG guy because Koari isn't a regular contributor anymore and it was really just the two of us.

I'd like to see us do a lot of joint stuff when we finally get going, PJ and I could have a lot of fun reviewing movies together.

Back on topic, how do you think they should deal with videos there?

Oh and Debaser, the difference between Blistered Thumbs and TPS is that we know that we're not a gaming Mekka whilst BT set up to try and be just that. If they started out small and wanted to grow, that would have been a lot better. The reason why we sometimes feel to be more professional is because we don't kid ourselves. We're having fun whilst at the same time try to bring a "professional" site. Yeah, the video is kinda working against that, but behind the scenes we've been planning and we've also been continuing our work over at SA. Blistered Thumbs on the other is still trying to be the gaming Mekka but isn't doing anything to improve on itself besides cleaning up the mess to be more overseeable.

I kinda hope that brought my point across

Let's put it this way: TPS are the guys on a hometrainer peddling away whilst DTT and Retroware are amateur-cyclists. We all love what we do and wish we could do it more, but the guys at TPS are content with the hometrainer for now whilst the guys at DTT want to grow in to more.

Eh, it was a joke. ;) It makes us a website somebody might run into on accident.

I was pretty shocked when I saw the 404 page for the Magic article that I still had pulled up on my home PC. The message was supposed to say something along with line of "Oops. There's been an error." Instead, it's "Opps, there's been error!"

Or maybe that's the joke... (D)

Yeah I checked it out. It seems like a pretty cool site but I just don't have time to join another gaming community. I'm really only a part of this site and GameTrailers (while that site kinda sucks it has so many members on the forums that it's fun). I wish BlisteredThumbs success.

Oh wow, the site looks a heck of a lot better nowadays. I dig the new layout/site design. Very professional looking.

Blistered Thumbs is so... okay its unbelievable. I think the main problem with it is that they aren't trying to be anything new, and they know that. It's really just the same crowd of people that visit TGWTG, except with more focus on written stuff, and giving unknowns some time in the spotlight which is always commendable. At the moment, they just don't seem to have that "Wow" factor, that every site on the internet is vehemently searching for, but I'll give them credit for doing a bang-up job in creating a gaming hub of the web.

Considering they're not even half a year old and they look that good, that's pretty amazing. It does look like everything else, but it definitely doesn't look like a site that's only a few months old.
