Rangers beat the defending champs last night. That was not a game I expected them to win. :-D

I'm off to a good start this week. Two goals for Dubinsky (one on the pp), an assist for Del Zotto, and a 30-save shutout for Luongo. Nice.

My team has scored a total of six goals this week. Brandon Dubinsky has five of them. O_o

He scored a GWG and a SHG tonight alone. Ten goals this season, tied for the league lead and halfway to his total from last season. The guy is on fire. :fire:

Think I might suffer my first weekly loss in the pool this week. Kinda sad, but my group had a really poor week.

Not mine. :-D

Last night pretty much cemented the win. Unless Corey Perry has a monster night tonight, every skater stat is mine. I also have wins locked up, and probably saves. If the Rangers beat Halak tonight, I'll have the losses column as well. If not, it's a wash.

I have Dubinsky, Frolov, and Del Zotto active tonight, but I'm leaving them on the bench. It's not like I need their offensive output at this point, and I don't want to run the risk of them getting a minus and making it easier to catch up in that category.

tl;dr - I'm kicking ass, so look over your shoulder. :teehee:

Bad news: Rangers get shut out.
Good news: It was Conklin that did it, not Halak.

Leaving those three Rangers on the bench was a good call. They combined for a -4, which happens to be exactly the lead I have in that category.

All I want now is for Perry not to score a GWG tonight. Hope that's not too much to ask. <_<

Yeah lost my first match up and moved to second place. Cleaned house a bit, just to get rid of some dead weight (Gomez and Wheeler) and am pending a trade to bring in Giroux and Mark Staal. I really want Giroux though. As much as I hate Philly I'm a big fan of him and missed out on drafting him.

Back at number 1! All I had to do was change over all most of my third and forth line forwards lol. So happy I got Claude Giroux in a trade though. That guy's having a great start to the regular season and was really hoping to get him in the draft, but this will do.

So Sens gave Tim Thomas his first loss of the season. How about Brian freakin Elliott? Man he's turned his game on ever since Leclaire went down. I guess we know who Ottawa's number one goalie is now eh?

Yeah, I would say that was a good pickup. Sure glad that waiver claim went through. :-D

You're going to be tough to beat, Mr Black, but I think I have it in me. I looked at the schedule, and we match up again in Week 16, so we'll see. :confident:

wow... I'm winning my matchup 12-0 after last night. Thomas with another shut out, Briere with a goal, Giroux with a goal and two assists. Very happy with my trade to get him! Too bad they had dismantle my freakin team... oh the third period problems come back to haunt the Sens again.

Something is wrong here...

Gustavsson took over for Giguere in the third period last night. The game winning goal was scored in the second period, with Giguere still in the game. This makes Giguere the winning goalie, correct?

The problem is, Gustavsson was credited with the win. I brought the issue up with Yahoo, so I'll see what they have to say.

Edit: Maybe I shouldn't have bothered. At this rate, I won't be getting a win, anyway. :bruised:

I am still in last, the people who have tradeable goalies..are looking for like premium, I am not about to trade away my first pick in Henrik Sedin for a starter..

I mean I am willing to trade, and pay a high amount for a goalie but it has the right kind of goalie.

I will not mention the player but he expected me to give him Shea Weber, Henrik Sedin, and Alex Steen for one goaltender..

So I'm not sure if you guys know or not, Luke Richardson, former NHL player (former Sen too) and now assistant coach to the Sens 14 year old daughter committed suicide Saturday. It's been a very rough week for everyone involved and the community (Richardson's from Ottawa). Scotiabank Place was open to the public yesterday to for a celebration of Richardson's daughter's life. The team came back from their 4 game road trip to attended even though they had a game in Carolina the same day. You could tell they're really shook up over the whole thing. They got thumped 7-1 last night and I don't blame them at all for not having their heads in the game after such an emotional day. Thoughts and prayers go out to the Richardson family. I could not even imagine what they're going through.

I heard about this on TSN and it was a heartbreaker. It was great to see an entire team rally behind their coach to show him such support it will most definately bring the team together in the long run. Luke Richardson has been part of the Sens community a number of years as both a player and now coach, it is great to see the team who has been struggling really get behind him, out of all of this tragedy this could be a huge turning point for the Ottawa Senators, a reason to win, something or someone to play for.

I hope it does. I remember the summer Roger Nelson died. Sens were loosing the conference finals 3-0 to the Devils and Nelson, looking like shit apparently gave a huge speech that got the boys going. Came back to tie the series 3-3 and lost in game seven letting a goal in the last 2 min. Only good thing I can see about this tragedy is the team coming together and winning for Luke and his family.
