I really liked the idea of a darker riddler and either Carey or Levitt would've been perfect fits, but seeing as it won't happen, going from Hardy I can see a revamped Hush character or Black Mask would be interesting but the way the title is said, makes it intriguing, because the title always relates to the films themes, how Dark Knight was the whole Dark/White Knight dynamic of Batman and Dent.

Another interesting option is Hugo Strange but if Hardey's the villain (Not confirmed, he only has an unspecified role) I doubt that would work unless it was a revamped Strange as well

also, how about Edward Norton as a villain, he said he'd love to have been involved and I could have seen him as a great riddler as well, but could make a revamped Hugo Strange as well

besides, we all the know the real reason we're excited is because we get more Gary Oldman as Jim Gordan.

Goddam I love Gary Oldman

Nolan needs to make a Gotham Central movie.

There might be the problem with the magic potion shit, considering Nolan is going for a more realistic approach, but yeah, I could see this working.

It'd be a shame if he left him out of the picture. It would be a missed opportunity

Tbh, realisticly looking at it, I think Link is right, many people from the first two films should be back. This is the last and therefore should be a culmination of everything Batman and Gotham have been through. The main focus should be Batman and not a villain this time, he took a serious backseat in TDK and TDKR should be ALL BATMAN, not some silly flavour of the month villain like every other superhero film. Bringing back Scarecrow WOULD work, he's been in the last 2, there's no reason why he won't show up again, breaking out of Arkham, hopefully back on a horse.

But I tell ya who HAS to show. Zsasz. He was in Batman Begins, perfect foreshadowing if you ask me, I don't think Ra's is needed again, since he was just a segway for Bruce to become Batman, but I would be surprised if he shows up near the end for a WTF moment.

In retrospect, Deadshot seems more suitable for the final instalment of a trilogy of say Iron Man. More comic book-ie. I think for this film, the villain should be a mystery right up until the third act, that would really add to the viral marketing that TDK had fun with. Play detective with Batman... shit like that.

But, Batman SHOULD have to kill the villain this time. None of that 'I'm not going to save you' or 'You'll be in a padded cell forever' crap. Yeah sure, he stopped Two-Face by killing him, but Two-face wasn't the main focus and I'm sure they'll come up with some deep, deep, DEEP dialogue between Bruce/Alfred, Batman/Villain, Batman/Gordon to sort that out.

Oh, finally, BRING BACK WAYNE MANOR FFS. GAH.

*sunglasses off*

I consider Batman XXX to be the worthy sequel to The Dark Knight.

I was wanting Black Mask. Firefly could work in Nolan's Batman...he can be one of black mask's stooges.

I dont think Bane would be good in this batman. Im hoping Nolan doesnt make him a stupid "MUST BREAK YOU" tough guy.

Really? Tom Hardy? He does not look Caribbean. How tall is he anyways?. *sigh*

That was the same kind of reaction people had with the Batmoble in Begins and Heath Ledger in TDK; and look how that turned out. I have faith in Nolan.

Hate to be that negative guy. . . But I Think Anne Hathaway has a goofy looking face and isn't as attractive as some other's who could've been chosen for the role. .

That being said. . . Her body is pretty sweet and being in a skin tight suit sounds awesome. So that's good.

I've always found her rather attractive. And, of course, she's a really good actress which adds credibility to the roll. Look forward to seeing how this movie shapes up.
