Okay Mongo. I finally caught up with all of the Fairy Tail manga. So, let's talk mages.

For those of you not in the know, Fairy Tail is a manga made by the same guy who did Rave Master. Fairy Tail is a mage guild that takes on various jobs offered to them by clients. The story follows Lucy, a new person to the Fairy Tail guild and essentially a summoner, and Natsu, a fire mage and "Dragon Slayer" who loves fighting but can't handle vehicles. Other characters include Gray, an ice mage with a tendency to strip to his underwear, Erza, the strongest woman in the guild who can "ex-quip" different weapons and armor at will, and Happy, a talking, flying cat. Past the main group, the cast is filled with plenty of other members of the guild as well as members from other guilds.

The manga is fairly new, but it's already very popular in Japan. It just recently came out with an anime adaptation.

So you suggested the series to me, yet I've already passed where you are at. That's irony there.

I think Erza's arc was my favorite so far. Considering that my favorite arc in One Piece is the Arlong arc, that probably says something about me.

I loved the Erza arc also, actually I love Erza's character in general so strong yet weak at times, the ex-equip ability is awesome you just have to read it to really appreciate it.

anyways, the references to Groove Adventure Rave is just retarded sometimes from Plue to them cosplaying Haru and Elie at the cover of one chapter but its a really good read.

Yes, Erza is probably one of the best examples I have seen in a long time of how to do a female character right, which oddly enough seems to be a rarity in manga. Another good example would be Holo from Spice and Wolf.

anyway. Nice arc, but I can't see anyone letting Edolas Gerard follow through on what he wants to do

The one interesting thing I like about Fairy Tail thus far is that we still don't have a central enemy to be worried about. Sure there are some threats that have yet to be averted, but it's still nice. Arcs are actually of determinate length!

I assume Raven Tail to be the next or the next after enemy

i like reading the mange to fairy tail but i have the feeling that the anime focueses on a very young audience. with his jokes, animation etc. thats really not my cup of tea
