Rules

1. All normal forum rules apply.

2. NO JOKES! This isn't the topic for funny pictures or wise ass remarks.

3. Serious topics need to be well thought out when written, they also need to have well thought out replies. Please try to write more than a single sentence. Back up your opinion with facts or something else.

4. Keep a cool and calm head, especially about things such as politics, gay rights, religion, etc. People are allowed to have differing opinions than you, please don't view them as personal attacks, please don't start any sort of major drama or get all offended here. In the end, we're all friends still.

5. Use common sense when posting in here, which simply means ask yourself if this is something really worth posting, are you intentionally being mean to someone, if your topic is ridiculously controversial (IE. Baby Eating), are you accidentally bashing Christianity on Easter Day, etc.

6. In your posts, please try to clarify whether you're speaking based on fact or personal experiences as it will lead to less misunderstandings. Please do not state opinions as if they were facts without proof to back it up.

7. NO DRUNK POSTING.

Failure to comply with any of these rules (additional rules may be added in the future as needed) will result in a warning or perhaps a banning from the 'Why So Serious?' sub-forum. The severity of the punishment works in tandem with the severity of your actions.

Ok, so I work for ABM, a Janitorial company for the summer almost full time even though it was only supposed to be for a few days of the week. I have seen such disgusting crap it was not even funny. I mainly do floors such as carpet, tile, bathroom, you name it. And I wanna know is why and how?

I know you have an accident and spill something but how can you let it get this bad? It is disgusting much of the time. You can easily tell that the people in the building just don't care and just trash it and be lazy. This is not respect to the janitor topic, but a topic to ask if humans acting like pigs is just natural? People don't seem to care about their work space anymore unless they're the boss of the building. Normal workers just trash it, spill their coffee 20 times a day and more. Either that or I start to clean a restroom and they just throw their wet towels and rolls of toilet paper on the floor. I never did it as I hate when things get "too bad." Ever since I started working, which it is hard work, I saw just how many people act like this. Is it that people just do not care anymore r that they know the Janitor will get it regardless. I don't mind cleaning but damn, how can you stand to be doing stuff like that?

Well I get the feeling that many feel it's beneath them, they are getting paid for their professionail skillz after all. Or maybe they grew up and were used to mommy or the maid clearing up after them.

At my last job we had about 5 people working in a huge studio, and we they only brought in a cleaning crew once or twice a month, so everyone had to step up to keep the place clean and in working order.

I dont understand it either. How can you enjoy living in a filthy environment? Im not a neat freak by any means, but some roommates Ive had I dont even understand how they were not constantly ill from how disgusting they were. I had one roommate who in the 5 months that he lived with me he showered 3 times and that was only because he had to go to the doctors twice for x rays and once for a family thing. He never cleaned his room. You could literally see the balls of grease mashed up in his hair and he would leave a residue on the furniture when he did venture out of his bedroom. How can you live like that? He had hygene stuff, water, shower, sink etc all available to him 24/7. It was just gross. He was also a slob, never washed his clothing in the 5 months he lived there and smelled like... well you know when you leave a pumpkin out too long and it starts to rot? Kinda like that but imagine every hour on the hour cats had been pissing on it for good measure.

I keep my work place clean. Bathrooms are just fucking crazy, and I blame a lot of that on people being afraid to sit on the fucking toilet seat.

Reminds me of this...

Yeah, I work in an office of over 1,000 and there is a crew who cleans each of the six restrooms three times a day yet somehow someone always manages to drop a metric ton dump and clog the shitter up. it's like, come on guy...flush twice if you have to.

That, and I can never understand why people have to grab at least five of the tri-fold paper towels to dry their hands. Somehow I have always done it with one.

9/10 bitches won't sit on a toilet seat, so instead they're nasty fucks. Don't ever let women convince you they're all neat and clean. They're fucking nasty.

Thank you! May all other men die out and you become the insightful father of an entire new generation.
And how a woman can ever manage to stand and piss, I'm completely clueless.

As for the lack of neatness, I actually have a hypothesis. I think it has to do with today's buy new/throw away culture. People today have lost their appreciation of things because nothing is really precious anymore. If you break something or it gets dirty, you can just throw it away and get a new one, instead of having to spend time and effort repairing or cleaning it. Thus, people no longer respect the things they surround themselves with, or the surroundings themselves for that matter. The abundance of material things has crippled our sense of neatness.
Or to simplify; John doesn't care that he misses when he pisses, because John has access to too many Johns. :rabbid:

Depends on person entirely, in the workplace I've never had the sanitation problem with co-workers. They all respect the environment and each other. But, when it comes to personal hygiene it's probably how the dude/dudette was raised. Seriously, I take daily showers sometimes even twice a day (c'mon that grimey sweaty feeling are the worst at night). Now, if this kid was raised differently I would be either of the following.

A. I just didn't care
or
B. LAZY

The overall laziness of people are insane at the moment...hence the explanation of the "neatness negligence". Let's face it who would want to clean up someone's leftovers in the lunch room? or someone missing the toilet when throwing up right?

I try and think of the logistics of a woman using a public toilet but in all honesty human bodily fluids and talk about them kinda disgust me...and I mean really disgust me.

My friend made a spill on a table today at the cinema today. I let it slide because there were no napkins or anthing to clear it up. Speaking of cinemas...MAN ALIVE is it a mess when a movie is over. Like God damn.

I'm super messy and I'll leave my room/desk in shambles for about a week before I take one day buckle-down and clean my room until it's spotless. It's just messy though, nothing disgusting. If I spill something, there would be no way I could possibly leave it for more than the time it takes me to get the supplies to clean it up. I can't stand sticky surfaces...

People throw their popcorn bags and bottles/cups on the floor when they guys wait outside with a trashcan forthem to toss it in. And yes bottles because people smuggle things in, a lot. though I can't blame them with theater food prices D :
