Hmm, haven't yet had time to run through with everybody, so I don't have a good enough frame of reference. But it's hard for me to think there's anybody I would do better with than Contra Guy (Bill R), just because his Spread Gun makes me want to cheer obnoxiously while drinking and taking a swing at nearby women, I love it so much. But I agree with the tough jumping with him, therefore making your list more accurate in terms of balance.

Still, I also had a bit more success with Simon than you did, apparently. One thing is that his Axe has a Triple Shot effect when fully powered, not just one per screen. And his double jump, when you're used to it, is a wonderful thing. Can be aggravating if you overjump what should be otherwise easy gaps, though.

The only big problem I had with Simon's jump is that there is no way to avoid that one line of fire during the underwater part of 8-4. But yeah the axe is da best.

That actually was the part I hinted at in both Simon's and Bill's cons. I've actually tried, it's possible to avoid it, but it requires precision and not letting go of the right arrow.

Btw, I joined there site yesterday. Many requests to have Solid Snake added in, they're thinking about changing the moving platform at the end to make in more challenging for non-Mario characters, and they, for the most part like the tier list I set up (for which I would also like to say that I added some new info to the one I wrote here thanks to them over there).

Oh, and I learned a little trick: if you hit a brick with helmetless Megaman then shoot it, it'll only take one hit

Version 1.1 is out now. I just beat the game with Ryu. He's hard to control with the keyboard. Definitely use a game pad if you got one
