SOTW #25 - Sexy - WINNERS!

My vote is going to Superman 64. I just dig it a lot, it screams sexy from the '90s (or is it '80s) it's just extra cheesy in a very good way. I really dig the font/ladies on the font, if you rendered those onto the font extra kudos, if not, that's fine too.

Honorable mention goes to Dreamwalker but something about some of the angles/proportions of the render bothered me (I guess I'm going to scrutinize more when you create something on your own.) The one major thing that I saw though that bothered me was the anti-aliasing of the white color around the shadow of the font. That sort of a thing bugs the living heck out of me for some reason and I noticed it immediately and it sort of turned me off to the whole thing. Overall though, it was very well done, and with a few tweaks it probably would've had my vote.

Also... is it actually supposed to be Poison Ivy from Batman or was that just a name/title you wanted to use?

I actually found a font that was nothing but sexy lady silhouettes. So I just found the right poses that would fit with the other font I used. Thanks for the vote.

Anti-aliasing? I've checked it against four different screens and not seen that. Damn, I really hate in when that happens. That's my main problem with digital drawing, the colours look so different on different screens.

Yep, I was influenced by Tim Sale's Poison Ivy from his and Jeph Loeb's three book run on Batman (The Long Halloween, Haunted Knight and Dark Victory). I love how he made her hair consist of vines and leaves, and wanted to use a similar design. Poison Ivy is one of my favourite villains.

As for my vote, it goes to Superman 64. Your sig is so early 90's, sexy in the same way a pair of worn out jeans can be sexy, and I love the colours and the carefree summer feeling to it. Makes me crave strawberry sorbet for some reason. :yum:

An honourable mention to Crono, it's sexy in a very subtle way, you can really feel how silky that cloth is against her skin.

Sure , on first glance chrono's sig looks like the girl is wearing a white dress, upon further examination its not a dress, she's holding a sheet , that exposes herself just a little. The curve of her spine, the light bouncing off her ass which made me think at first glance was part of her dress, the very lovely shoulders.

Then of course you final notice the triforces on the elbow and corner of the sig and it all comes together .......... Zelda? :-o

now thats sexy ......... and subtle

No anti-aliasing on my side. It's just as sharp as it can be.

It may look fine on other themes, but on a black background you can notice what's up. It may just be because I'm using the Villains theme, but there's some relic of white/gray down by the dark green that show up on different color backgrounds.

Also, yeah, I forgot Tim Sale did Ivy that way.

You guys are killing me here. Anti-aliasing is a process that REMOVES aliasing artifacts. When you have "jaggies" that's Aliasing. If the picture had a lot of anti-aliasing it'd be smooth, crisp, and clear with no artifacts.

Dreamwalker, you can't really do much about it past working in a higher resolution. But, working with the projected background color will help. (If it's the Heroes gray color that's #6c6c6c, the villains is black, #000000)

My vote goes to Superman 64. I like the layout and color composition, though, it's not particularly "sexy".

I was trying to say the Anti-aliasing wasn't good, but you guys got my point. The best way to work on a transparent sig is to try a couple fake background colors in a bottom layer. Black and Dark Greys and sometimes Light Greys and occasionally White. Depending on the background color you're taking your render from.

To elaborate on that. I originally just wanted to make it simple. I was reminded of the Deadpool 900 cover where it was a silhouette of a sexy girl image with Deadpool killing mimes in the middle. I thought that was a slick cover so I wanted to do something similar for a sig, I forget what I even looked up, maybe I just googled "Zombies" for the heck of it, but that image came up and I thought it looked really good. The moon's shading almost looked like a face the way I positioned it, and then I said "Why stop there? Let's start making it a zombie chick so the graphic makes more sense." We arrived at the final result. I can take or leave the blood though.

A.K.A. Your image is aliased. Aliasing is an actual attribute to a computer displayed image, anti-aliasing is a process that can be performed on it. So, it doesn't make any sense to talk directly about the process of eliminating aliasing when you're critiquing the remaining aliasing artifacts in the image.

For some reason I always call removing aliasing anti-aliasing... like... as a manual photoshop thing/act you're doing. That's all. I get what you're saying though.
