I'd be fine with that. MK Trilogy had a code to (f)unlock Human Smoke and Khameleon, who were more "special" characters, and even though codes get tedious, they're not a horrible option. But yeah, having vs mode have everybody and keeping single player rosters locked for "story" purposes. I'm trying to remember, but I think there was a game that did this a while back. I know for sure that the SNES Fatal Fury had it so Player 2 could be any of the 11 available characters instead of the 3 "story" characters (to kind of disastrous results, since only Player 2 could do this), but I liked the idea.

Totally agree. I like that in SSFIV, all the characters were there. No unlocking for characters what so ever. The only thing that should be unlocked is like costumes and stuff.

Looks like DLC is really hard to do for games with online multiplay, thanks to Microsoft being dicks. Capcom's plan of having expansion packs of characters/stages every few months would depend on players buying the expansions to use online, but Microsoft says no to downloads you don't pay for beyond one free patch, and if only one player has bought a character there won't be any data to display on the opponent's side, so we're going to be looking at paying to unlock stuff on the disc (MS really likes DLC stuff and having some at your game's launch or in the pipe for almost immediate release greases the wheels of the approval process).

But yeah, as long as S-Kill is there character unlocks for playtested characters aren't gonna be happening. And there's rights issues with songs already anyway.

and it's got TatsuCap/DonJon controls

A Light Attack
B Medium Attack
C Heavy Attack
P1 Partner 1
P2 Partner 2

Not sure how I feel about ditching the old MvC layout for BlazBlue, but still get hype I guess.

So Game Informer has confirmed Felicia, Deadpool, Dante and Captain America. Not really a big shocker seeing as how they are all silhouetted in the promo art and video, but cool news none the less.

Oh and one of Deadpool's supers involves him taking his own health bar and beating opponents with it. :-D

I don't play fighters, but now I have to buy this game and learn that move.

What's so great about Deadpool anyway? I don't read comics so I have no clue why everyone wants Deadpool so badly.

He's (usually) wacky and constantly breaks the fourth wall. He's the only character who constantly knows he's in a comic book, really, or at least the most popular one.

No he's a deathstroke ripoff, that other writers decided to make ridiculous and accidentally made awesome.

His creator was an unoriginal twerp who cannot draw anything. Especially feet. Somehow, Joe Kelly and future writers decided to have their fun, and it worked.

Hey Joel.

Wikipedia. :P

Seriously though, I knew squat about Deadpool until Marvel Ultimate Alliance. Like... I saw him on my trading cards and stuff, and I always assumed he was some Spider-Man rip-off, haha.

To put it in a way fighting game folks would understand. He's Marvel's version of Dan (in terms of comedy), except he's actually a total badass and his moves will actually be powerful.

I don't ever want to see Deadpool and Dan be used in the same sentence EVER AGAIN. It's bad enough he has the same name as me

Future opponents of me... rejoice... My favorite character in MVC2 has been reduced to background distraction... I miss her already...

In other news, hopefully this will get Capcom to finally make Legends 3... ^_^

So you can walk in on her in the shower for the 3rd time? Frigging Juno pissed me off. The second's final boss wasn't as annoying for me but the game overall got hard at points. Plus we all know that Data is the true star...........*does the annoying dance that he does*

Anyway, I hope Zero and/or X are in this though I expect X to be cheap with his damn Nova Armor and taking up the whole screen with an unavoidable attack like in the games. Since DMC3 Dante is in it, maybe we will see Vergil in it

I hope they don't make my Chunners a charge character this time, like they did in SF4. Chunny DESERVES a good control scheme.

They could compromise and give her the MotM control scheme.

Just saying.
