Must giving the webmaster or whoever is in charge of the ads a heads up on something. One of the ads contains a virus or other piece of malware on it, it was so bad that my antivirus software kicked it in the nuts before it could load. According to it I think it comes from fireserve1.com or something like that.

Just a heads up.

Usually shit sneaks by google and their ad shit. Mr. Crix handles all the google ad stuff, just as an FYI.

I don't need a web blocker. It's more than obvious what a fucking stupid fake scan program looks like, especially if the program is in the form of a web page, clicking X and boom, sorted.

I noticed it too. Thank goodness I'm on my toes for viruses like that now, unlike the other times...

Anyway, I hope this problem gets fixed as soon as possible.

It came up through google ads. I checked their site and there was nothing about it there. Anyone know what ad specifically was the one that did it? I can close down the category that it was under. That way it won't come up.

Have y'all ever considered Project Wonderful? They do a bit better than google ads from everything I've ever seen, which is to say no viruses and no problems getting your money.

NoScript is currently blocking a new site thing for me called holasionweb.com

Prior to that I've had googlesyndication.com and thegameheroes.com allowed.

So... I think it may have to do with that too.

The site wouldn't load, but this looks suspicious as well

Hey Crix, it popped up for me. Wish I could've gotten a screenshot, but the ad was about Game Design school and it had a pic of Kratos on it.

Crix, it happened again on my fiancee's PC. What it did was minimize the window and make a pop-up that wants you to click OK, and after you close out, it runs a fake virus scan in your browser.

I suggest turning off ALL advertisements until this gets resolved. It may suck for revenue, but I think it would make more sense than allowing our members to get viruses from our ads.

EDIT: In fact, I just commented out the ads for the time being until we get this resolved.

I thought that one ad's anomaly of being like this might slip past google, but more than one is ridiculous. We might have to look for a different provider. I'll shut it down when I get home or just make it the text ads only for now.
