Ok I never really got into the whole SMT series but I always hear about it. So I got a good deal on Persona 4 fired up the ol PS2 and wow. I am in love, the game is super awesome I am so addicted to it. I am about 40 hours in and all I do at work is think of crap I want to do when I play it agian. And I bought Persona 3 FES and gonna hit that right after 4, so I am pretty much gonna play them backwards. XD

^I can tell already that you're probably not gonna like P3 (or as much), since everybody who's played it backwards tend to like 4 best.

P4 seems to be the most popular of the series, according to the most fans and the amount of stuff I see on Danbooru (a search for "Persona" what results is more than half seems to of P4.)
So I find it odd that Atlus is choosing to make P3P rather than P4P.

Persona on PSP is surprisingly well done. Very cool remake/proper port.

Yeah, it's definitely more playable now.
But despite the improvements, it's still my least favorite of the series.

I'm having a lot of fun with Persona on the PSP, despite it's... genericness at times.

I'd try a Max Ambrosia run but I don't feel like replaying it all. I'm probably going to try out the Snow Queen quest sometime after I finish the main quest.

I have to agree with what most people say that Persona 4 is the better of the persona games, HOWEVER, if were talking about the better endings, i think the ending to The Journey was much better than the ending to Persona 4.

Spoiler
The fact that your main character sacrifices his life in the end, and manages to keep a promise to his friends and barely keep himself alive for 3 extra months compared to your main on P4 whom just leaves town in the end. Course P4 could have it's own additional game like P3 did, but who knows.

I recently got Persona PSP and I got one thing to say.

Where's the sound in the battles? All I get is music and that's it. No sound effects or voice acting, only in cinematics. Is something wrong? Also, I got the game via torrent, so yeah I'm a bad man. Did this happen to anyone else?

Well, I read a man's blog about the sound so it's not just me. He said quote:

"The only negatives I’ve seen thus far have to do with sound effects. While I do miss the original voicing (remarkably good for the time) the new stuff is better. But the small pieces that formed a greater feel for the game – the sort-of-scifi sound effects, the Persona summon sound effect, even the surprised scream when you walk into a trapdoor – all are missing, usually simply silent. When the Deva System goes into overload, there’s no indication whatsoever."

So it's not just me that experienced it.

I was disappointed with Persona PSP(the remake(

Probably because I played Persona 3 and 4 first. I knew going it was a totally different game than 3 and 4, but still. 3 and 4 were amazing, but this remake, and from what I have seen on youtube, the first one was just boring. It's not a bad game, but for me it was really boring. I forced myself to complete it......and it was a generally short game

now persona 3 portable, I am waiting for

I tempted to get it just to play through FemC or "Hamuko's" story.

This thread made me hornier than the ecchi one.

BTW, Persona 4 is the greatest game ever made.

Game developer Atlus is bringing PlayStation 1 role-playing game Persona 2: Innocent Sin back for the PSP 11 years after its original release.

As noted by website Siliconera, one big gameplay change is the ability to see the demons' emotions. This, it seems, will simplify in-game negotiation.

Macross Frontier anime studio Satellite will handle the game's new opening, but Atlus is also including the original opener, too. There were plans to include the entire original game, but those plans were shelved as it's impossible for UMD.

Persona 2: Innocent Sin will feature PSP-style widescreen support to make maps and menus easier to navigate.

Persona 2 was released in two versions: Innocent Sin and Eternal Punishment. While Eternal Punishment was released in North America in 2000, Innocent was not. No word whether this remake will be released in the West.

they will. Persona is popular over here. Plus they released Persona 1 portable (which the original never made it here) so I am sure this one will be as well. Persona 2 has a decent fanbase and some never got to play the game as they were introduced to the series with P3.
