welcome to the plight of the EQ player for years, they went and changed ( for the worse ) a ton of the good old fun zones that people remember from back in the day, and the content isnt even anything 1/4 as decent looking as this new wow expansion.

I wonder if they are going to totally scrap those old zones though, i mean where are new players gonna level up at? I wonder if its not going to be maybe a sort of thing where you go through a portal to the new "ruined" areas , or if they are going to put in a few zones for the 1 - 50 climb.

I quit wow sometime ago, and i always said ill be back if they make goblins a playable race..... damn you wow, damn you to hell :yuush:

It's weird. I was just talking to a friend about WoW, and... it's like Blizzard is just trying to revamp the whole game, which is cool, but it would be strange to think that Outland would be the "old" content since Azeroth itself will be new. It's also extremely depressing in a sentimentalist sort of way. I experienced levels 1 - 60 in Azeroth a number of times, it's my stomping grounds and home to all my favorite instances and storylines, etc. How much will those things change? What will happen to some of our favorite characters, etc. Will other people (like newcomers to the game) be able to experience a lot of the cool "old" things at all?

I quit WoW partially because even though how many times I do certain quests that are supposed to be big and world changing, nothing ever changes.

That irks me to all hell. Nothing ever changes...

But if I read your post correctly and they're changing Azeroth, i'd like to see some things improve in the world, like all the big questlines did change somehting for the better or the worse.

I'm not even against to things like RFC and Stockades being closed. So that something new is then in their place and all the times you wiped out all the mobs RFC were not in vain.

Just hit 80 on my troll hunter today. This would be my 3rd lvl 80 character yeah I have no life. I just love this game way to much. Never had the pleasure of playing a ranged dps class other than my elemental shaman but only played him for a bit didn't gear him out. I'm excited to start getting my hunter gear and finally getting around to raising his professions. I'd also like to thank Blizz for making the heirloom items to which I wouldn't have reached lvl 80 quite as fast. Oh and the new dungeon finder helped out as well even though I hate getting grouped with foreigners. No offense to you foreigners out there but if you don't know exactly what your doing or are doing something wrong. There is severe lack of communications to that I say GG Blizzard.

I'll be returning to WoW shortly I'm sure. I'm impressed by all the account changes you can pay for.

You can change the way your character looks, what their name is, what their FACTION is, what race they are, what server they're on. You can basically pay for EVERYTHING but a class change, which I'm sure will be around the corner eventually.

The coolness of this, at least from an RP standpoint, I could technically have my Undead character return to being human, and it could be like this HUGE turning point in the character's life. I dunno, it's just really cool that you now have the option to fix things you dislike. For example, I've ALWAYS hated my undead's face, I always thought it looked good, but since you couldn't zoom in during character creation it didn't look as good when I was playing the game. Now I can pay 15 dollars to do some plastic surgery, haha.

I'm pissed. I've heard with Cataclysm they STILL won't be increasing character slots. What the fuck?! I have practically 8 or so of my slots filled with legitimate characters I actually want to play. :-/

its not that bad, back when I played everquest and 60 was the level cap once you hit level 40 or so it took like 2 weeks + per level depending on your playtime and each consecutive level got a little bit slower.

I always found WoWs leveling to be fairly easy my self right up to 80, maybe easy isnt the right word , but it was engrossing and entertaining enough to where you didnt notice how much time you were putting in, my problem with wow was always how little game there actually was once you hit that level cap if you werent a PVPer.

I'm a days play away from lvl 80 on my priest, but I never played that day. :-D

I deactivated the account a while back, but looks like winter isn't going anywhere soon so I might just have to get another month of playtime soon.

Yeah I played Lineage 2, Im used to a few days-weeks for a level. But lvl 69-70 it was like 500k to lvl, 70-71 was like 1.5 mill. Its kind of a huge curve and its kinda demotivating.

So I finally cancelled my account. Been playing on and off since day 1 of WoW and its been fun mostly because I was playing with my brothers but 2 of 3 of them have also quit. Maybe Cataclysm will lure me back but the game just hasn't interested me of late.

Haven't played in over a year but I might buy some gametime soon. Not much to do when you're snowed in.

I was actually mulling around the idea of re uping my wow account and making a hunter to mess around with when I got nothing else to do until I realized everyone I knew who played has quit haha.

Well, you know us! :o

Seriously, anyone is free to swing by Argent Dawn to hang out. I've even got an old guild put together and I can invite folks to join. The only hitch is that we're Horde and I know some people refuse to play as particular factions but... screw 'em! :yuush:

Got to 80 with my priest yesterday. Now i'm just grinding Trial of the Champion to get some good gear so I can confidently join a raiding guild.

Word. Hope it happens. It'd be fun. Even if we don't do big raids or anything, but just to be able to play and chat.

My lowest level character is 21 at the moment, so I dunno how much questing/grouping we'll do right off the bat, but I'm not leveling him up anytime soon just yet.
