i shouldn't HAVE to save as frequently, because autosave should be doing it for me. the existence of autosave is not some sort of crutch or whatever you keep insisting i'm wanting it to be, it's a convenience that makes a game more fun by not breaking flow. at least, that's the theory. if you don't like autosave, guess what, you can turn it off! but if it is on, then it should save any time a person would logically want to save their game. since you can save after each battle in mass effect, that would be a good time. after you enter a new area, that would be a good time. if there's some specific time i wanted to save that autosave wouldn't, say before entering a shop, then okay, it's not like that option is gone either.

honestly, i don't understand what you expect from autosaving. for it to just fucking do nothing?

I called my gamestop friday to ask them if they were having a midnight release ( how could they not? right? ) and the guy tells me no sorry were not... ok, that doesnt make a whole lot of sense but whatever maybe they didnt have that many pre orders company wide to justify it,

yesterday I look on IGN, 2500 gamestops open at midnight for mass effect 2 release..... ok what the fuck , so this morning I call them and ask again, maybe they just got the news over the weekend and they will indeed be open at midnight, and the guy says no sorry we are not , and goes on to explain that a bunch of stores are in fact opening at midnight for ME2, but the manager at this store decided not to, and I cant for the life of me figgure out why



oh well, at any rate I am going to pick it up tomorrow morning at 10 am sharp, also, I am going to tell the manager he is a 'very nice gay man'.

midnight releases are fun, I enjoyed the RE5 one because a lot of folks showed up dressed as zombies, but theres always something neat about going out at midnight to get the newest game/cd/book/movie , I used to go to midnight releases at media play (best store ever btw) for DVDs and CDs all the time just cause I always enjoyed the festive atmosphere at those sorts of events, I wish gamestop would do them more often.
