lol, Mike you need to stop being such a bandwagon street fighter fan. You talk about Daigo like you have no idea who he is and mispronounce his name. Its time to start watching past evo/tournament youtube vids and learn some terminology.

Fighting game tourneys are boresville. Guy doesn't need to know tons of terminology and other crap just to talk about it. He's not trying to claim he's the biggest SF fan evar or anything, and he's admitted a lot that he gets whooped a lot in SFIV.

Yea they are boring if you're not participating in them, dont know(about) any of the competitors or dont understand the game. Also, did you even watch the sf4 finals between Justin Wong and Daigo?

I didnt say Mike was claiming to be the biggest sf fan. It did sound like Mike wanted to make an effort at becoming good at the game which means he should probably understand the proper terminology and maybe kno who the top players are, i kno ive learned a thing or two from watching top players compete.

Nah, not interested in the least. I understand that watching other players can help, etc. But, no need to berate the guy because he doesn't know fancy terms coined by the tourney playing groups. Additionally, I'm under the assumption Mike really has no aspirations in actually competing, just being able to put up a decent fight against people like Tom, etc. who really enjoyed the games in the arcade.

I gotcha, and my intention was never to berate Mike.

The End of a Decade in Games, the Best of the 2000's era.

Shouldn't this be in the topic suggestion topic? I agree, this should be the next topic, at least sometime soon

You forgot about Samus having appearances in both Super Mario RPG: Legend of the 7 Stars and Kirby Super Star both on the Super Nintendo :)

Tom,

To tell you the truth, the controller wasn't the big problem I had with the Gamecube.

Now, I owned a Gamecube (aswell as all other nintendo mainstay consoles...Gba, nintendo, SNES, etc), aswell as the Playstation from tip to tale (ps1 - 3). The only console which collected dust after a year of playing was my Gamecube. The issue I had with it was the style of games which I rented/bought. The games, to me, were far too child oriented. They were fun pick-up-and-play games for what they were worth, in a time when every other game from playstation/xbox had to be epic...but to me the style of games were a step back from the maturity of the Playtation, xbox or even the N64 titles. I think the issue is, as the AVGN once commented on, that I relate what is 'cool' to be what is mature and I feel the games were not for a mature audience. This is probably the reason that Nintendo made the system so 'indestructable'...to handle young children beating the crap out of them.

Some games may have been great, but the ones that I recall renting (such as windwaker) fell far short of what I was looking for (in light of Orcina of time in the case of Zelda), and I honestly felt immature for renting them when I did.

I also disagree that the Wii is inferior to the Gamecube. The Wii, to me, is simply unrealised due to the majority of 3rd party developers that fail to truely ascertain the potential of motion control properly. They treat motion control like most movies treat 3d...only an aspect of the movie to blatently showcase the novelty, rather than enhance the movie. Same idea for most Wii titles I have played. However; Some games are real gold, especially when playing with younger players (neices, nefew's, etc), the G.F and/or when Nintendo develops the game. They too fall victim of not ascertaining the potential of motion control however. Ei: Mario Baseball.

And that's my two cents.

One last point though, the website looks good. I don't mind it. But please make sure that it stay's less complicated and quicker than your competitor sites. I have a real problem with the new Screwattack page due to how it functions (trying to do too much, over complecation and massive lag), and will rarely even look on the page due to this. Less in this case is much more. Thanks

My god,you really weren't kiddin' . To tell you the truth i thought you exagerated a bit but seems i was wrong. Thanks very much. But i missed the bid.Oh well, i'll keep an eye out on ebay

I went back to screwatack and saw the top10 you and Craig did for the best NGC games and i think those games are my first and buys (when i get the console).
Recommend some good RPGs and first/third person action games :)

On the racing game topic I really think Blur needs a lot more love. It is by far my favorite online game at the moment. It's so much fun to play and actually requires a fair amount of strategy to make it in the top 3 of a 20 car race. Mike, I'm pissed you got it on PS3 because we could be destroying cars together!

Hey Mike not sure if this will deter you from buying the God of War Pandora's box SE but the making of and soundtrack are digital download only. The only things in the box are the game and the art book.
