Since there is no Rock Band thread around here, I figured I might as well strat a fresh post.

Anyway, some of you might have know of the promotion Pepsi had where you could get free tracks for Rock Band. Well I happen to have 5 free songs and I've been thinking about giving them away since I know I'll never use them. All I ask is that you take a look at this list:

http://pepsi.yahoo.com/rockband/play/prizes/tracks/#

and tell me which song you would like and why (give me some good reasons), and to the one best reasons, I'll PM a code for the song(s) they want. Now I haven't decided whether to give all 5 codes to one person or one code for 5 people so keep that in mind. Sadly, I'm not sure if the codes would work internationally but if you're certain they will, go for it.

If no one here want them, that fine, I'll just take them else where.

I also have been taking part of this contest. I think i've scored over 30 DLC songs thanks to it. I still have 3 left to redeem. I'm hoping they will update the song choices with the new Talking Heads DLC that came out this week.

Seriously? RockBand games are awesome if you put a little time into getting good.

Also, Joe, can I redeem those codes on my Canadian Xbox? Are they region-locked like MSP and such?

Ok, my pick would be Alice Cooper's School's Out. He's the original villain of rock and roll, baby! Plus, I always sing this when it's on the radio. If I win, I'll make a Rock Band video of me singing while drunk. :)

I actually don't know if it would work or not, if anyone knows they be a great help.

You know what for being the first to pick a song, you get one, I assume you want this for the 360, correct?

Also, add one more song that's up for grabs. Also anyone with songs to redeem on their own, you might want to use them before the 30th or they become null and void.

I would have to say any of the songs in the Spinal Tap songs available, since I have a decent amount of DLC, and most of what I want, but this is a glaring piece I need to add. They really are fantastic songs, and any of them would be fantastic. But I would prefer (since I doubt you'd give me all 3 of them) them in this order:

1. Stonehenge--Not only where Spirits of an evil nature sometimes take residence, but also a great song.

2. Big Bottom--Mainly for the bass, which will be awesome, but also because of the line "My baby fits me like a flesh tuxedo..."

3. (Funky) Sex Farm--Tough for me to put this at #3, but those other two just edged it out.

Big thanks if you give me any of them.

Ok, Eighteen, also by Alice Cooper and yes, for the 360. :)

Ah. I knew I should have posted this last night instead of waiting until the morning. Oh well.

I still have 5 more left. Also Lady Zanthia, I didn't mean you got another song, I mean I just won another song (drank another Pepsi) so I'm giving that away.

Ah, okay, I forgot about that.

Also, I saw on your gamertag that you have Guitar Hero 5. How is it? I'm thinking about getting it in the next week or so.

It's definitely improved as far as the last 3 games (World Tour, Metallica and Smash Hits), but the setlist is.....meh. I rented and while I am kind of thinking about buying it so I can export some of the songs from SH and WT, I would suggest renting it if you can. I might have to write my complete thoughts about the game in the Soapbox section.

I'm gonna have to go with Stonehenge. To me seems like a better song for the whole band.

Thanks.

Edit: I should probably clarify, it's for the 360.

Stonehenge it is.

I still have a lot more songs to give out, if anyone wants one.

Well...since nobody else has posted so far, would it be too much to ask for another one?

I'd like to request one if you don't mind.

Thing is, I'll be requesting for the Wii and because of that you don't need to select the specific song for me (way it works for Wii is they give you a code for 200 Wii points and you just pick your own song/songs from the music store via the game).

But if you still want me to name a song I'm really debating on "The Kill" by 30 Seconds to Mars or "Poison" by Alice Cooper. Leaning a bit more toward "Poison" though :-) .
