The new nintendo club platinum rewards are unveiled and its a Doc Louis Punch Out mini game or a replica Mario hat. I don't know what to chose but leaning towards Doc Louis mini game. Anyone else gotta make this decision ?

I chose the Doc-Louis Punch-Out!! Wii Ware game. Primarily because it's a friggin' game.
Of course, if it becomes regularly purchasable in November (or at all), I'll be supremely pissed. Even if it's only one bout.

But, overall, non-trivial exclusive game content is pretty hard to ignore. (To note, it's not "DLC" in the sense that it's an expansion, it's completely standalone)

Yeah, it was quite letdown when I heard the announcement.
I went with the hat, since it was something physical.

Meh, Japan gets better rewards than the North American Nintendo Club anyway... plus to be platinum you have to buy a ton of crap! I don't even know what Europe gets, if anything.

The 2008 gift in Japan for Platinum members was the Mario hat that people are getting now.

Yeah, but did you see that sweet retro Super Famicom Wii controller they got for Virtual Console games? I want that so bad

Yeah, they're pretty neat ... but ... you could just appropriate a SNES and Classic Controller and call it a day ... or buy one on ebay for $65 ... or ... wait until NOA gets their head out of their ass and offers it in the club.

I'd personally love the Mario hat, but I've already made my own Luigi hat in what is probably the only time I ever cosplayed. (I dressed as Luigi for the SSBB launch at GameCrazy.)

Mario Hat! When I was a young lad, I would spend year after year trying to make a perfect Mario Hat. It's a sweet collectors item, and maybe could be sold for high price!

I already own Punch-Out, and the game of Doc Louis sounded very 'meh' to me.

Japan gets hundreds of nifty prizes, and our best ones are a Hat and Downloadable Content

The hat can be sold on ebay. The game that lasts around 5 minutes can't.

aren't these the first prizes to get from Club Nintendo?
