...hm, i remember a lot of people being butthurt when 3 didn't come out in Europe. I've never played one of those games, never cared, but i know they're there. But i think my interest in RPGs lies in a coma at the moment anyways

Welp, I'm playing Suikoden II and I gotta say...
Feels a lot better than playing it on an emulator for some reason.

As soon as I finish it, I guess I replay Suikoden III for the extra scripts from Nadir and because I'm feeling a nostalgic. After that, maybe an attempt at Clive's quest.

I used cheats with a gameshark and kept reseting the clock time to 0 in order to access the Clive's Quest stuff.

Fuck trying. Clive's Quest was a badly designed concept. "Let's put a time related quest into an RPG with tons of dialog and random battles, etc." Plus, all you get out of it is backstory. Then again, it's just like that fucking quest in FFIX for the Ultimate Sword or whatever for Steiner. Excalibur II. Fuck that shit. Why the fuck would I want to speed rush through an entire RPG, skip all the cutscenes/dialog/etc. That's fucking retarded. There's an achievement in Leisure Suit Larry on the 360 that's the same damn thing. "Hey, skip EVERYTHING and get to the end ASAP so you can unlock something." That's not a replay value incentive honestly. Not unless there's a New Game + mode or some shit.

^Ditto.
If completed, it'd be a nerdy victory of sorts.

Is it worth it?
Eh...

Welp, a new Suikoden has just been trademarked.
Time for the speculation that both gives and crushes my hopes.

As long as it isn't a Tierkreis sequel.

If it's for the PS3, I'll finally cave and get one sometime this year/next year.

If that happens, it'll bring the number of PS3 games I have to a total of...

...
...

A whopping 2.

Welp, I beat Tierkreis last week and ended up liking it more than I thought I would.
I guess it's one of those games that has to snowball.
The voice acting actually slowed down and the characters (particularly Liu) grew on me.

Right now, I'm attempting Clive's quest in my second playthrough of SII and I'm making good progress.
I'm at Tinto with about 11 hours clocked in.
The Matilda glitch helped a lot.

Edit
I reached the conclusion to the story.
My total time clocked is:

Note:
The file above was a back-up for just in case.
