Stand up comedy is awesome, we all know that. Now lets bring out some of the best. Know of a good comedian, talk about them! Got a clip with any of their good stuff? Post it!

I'll go first and I'll start with one of the titans of comedy, George Carlin. You've probably heard of him, one of the fathers of observational humor and still going strong after turning 70. His stuff is usually very politically incorrect and provocative, but once you get past the initial shock it's down right hilarious. Here is a link to one of his shows: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid ... igLQ2Z2sCQ
This one is called "You are all diseased".

So, let's hear it. Who is you favorite comedian?

(Not sure if this is the right section for this, so admins, move it as you see fit!)

George carlin is far and away my absolute favorite comedian and by far the best IMO, I have every last one of his CDs and DVDs plus all of his books, I have also seen him live in concert 6 times and plan on going agian soon, I have his autograph as well as pretty much any carlin merch you can find online or at his shows, my favorite being a poster with his picture pasted behind the 4000 + dirty words or phrases you can not say in public.

this here is probaly my favorite bit of his - http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xme7s_ ... ments_life

"get on the plane, get on the plane... I say F#%K you !!! im getting IN the plane ! let evil kanevil get ON the plane... ill be in here with you folks in uniform, seems to be less wind in here" pure genius XD

I really like Noel Fielding and Billy Connolly, but my all time favourite has to be Bill Bailey, he's just amazing on stage

I actually like Chris Rock, and Eddie Murphy from back in the 80's.

I also like people like Jimmy Carr, Peter Kay, Bill Bailey, and much more :-D

I would do that as well, however there seems to be a pretty wide mass of water preventing me from seeing his concerts.

I've seen over 200 comedians live (including Carlin) the best one by far was Paul Mooney. He not only was able to do a 4 HOUR show, but was able to take a room of complete strangers laughing their asses off on some really disturbing jokes.

Tommy Tiernan would be the one I would pay to see live, he does great sets and would enjoy seeing a show with him. Also smaller venues = win.

As long as no one mentions the name "Dane Cook" from this point on, we're good. Fucking hate that guy.

Carlos Mencia is a stupid idiot that thinks he is Mexican but really he is for Honduras. I want to say more but I will keep it to myself.

*Insert Dane Cook is crappy line here*.

Anyways some of my favorite Comedians are Jim Gaffingan, Aires spears, and the fluffy man himself Gabriel Iglesias.

I was really diggin Mitch Hedberg when he died. That was a real blow. Really wish I could have seen him perform.

Gotta go with Carlin as well for being my favorite performer. Love his use of language. His HBO specials have been a staple for many years.

I have quite a few favorites:

Carlos Mencia, Gabriel Iglesias, Denis Leary, George Carlin, Stephen Lynch, Margaret Cho... but I like watching most Stand-Up overall.
