I was happy for ya till you gasmed at FFXIII

This past week was one of the worst of the year, maybe even my life. The dickhead head of marketing set me up with another boatlaod of custom client content when I'm suppose to be working on updating our current library for our next-gen player launch which is almost ready for release. My bosses aren't happy with him as the content for this client is needed mid-week and no one has been able to get a hold of them to talk logistics... basically it's been a lot of very early mornings for nothing I've been pulling for nothing.

Next is my grandmother. She's not doing so well. Last week she was in and out of the hospital due to extreme pain. Last Friday she was finally admitted and she's been there since. It's not looking good. She's suffering from heart failure, gall-bladder issues and there's talk she may have stomach cancer. She's in a lot of pain which is hard on everyone as she's the sweetest/kindest person in the world. So most of last week/the weekend we've been checking up on her and staying with my 90 year old grandfather and it's hitting him pretty hard too (they've been married for 60 years). My grandfather is my hero/idol so whenever I can I've been visiting him or calling to check up (he still lives on his own and still works as a landlord for a small apartment building. The man is a machine that has the potential to live to 200 years old).

On top of that our new car got recalled. That was fine as I still have my old junker in the garage I drive from time to time. Went to start it up yesterday and the battery's dead... again... so tonight I get to play around with the lights/electronics in the trunk as it was shorting out months ago and causing these issues... there's more shit going bad but I've ranted enough. Hard week on me and my family... when it rains, it pours I guess...

Oh and due to all this I wasn't able to write a weekly news script for the busiest news week in gaming. ugh...

Best to your grandparents. 60 years together is indescribable. I hope they can share a few more.

Just saw The Green Lantern movie. Don't see what all the pissing and moaning was about. I hope when they reboot it they don't get rid of Ryan Reynolds, he carried that movie.

Yup. Green Lantern was a movie that wasn't good or wasn't bad. It just ... is.

Been listening to a lot of Radiohead recently, since I got In Rainbows. I'm really enjoying it.

Also, I hope your family does well, Mr. Black. Hopefully, the situation smooths out in due time.

Thanks guys. She ended up passing away early this morning so I've been calling my siblings to give them the news. I probably won't be on here too much again this week as I have family matters to attend to. Kind of glad it's over, but the sad part is she was doing better the last few days and could talk complete sentences without losing her breath/extreme pain. I was actually going to take my grandfather to see her tonight. That's probably why it comes as more of a shock now than anything at the moment.

Currently thinking that it's been ages it seems since I've posted here at all.

Real life has just been all encompassing as far as my mental state has been concerned lately .
