As it stands, TGH is more about content delivery than content creation. I don't think that's necessarily a problem. As for the battle video - hilarious and great promotion for all involved parties and websites. I like the notion of the different fans being united in watching one video. Way to go!

but overall "that guy with the glasses" is pretty sweet,i've heard of him before but didn't check much of his stuff so far but i'm starting to like the guy a bit more everytime i watch one of his videos

Yeah, but where you were talking to Tom...Hass was spreading the love for TGWTG...in fact, thats how I found him...thru Hass. So if it hadn't been for Hass, some of us wouldn't have known what he was all about when Tom introduced him. Credit given back to Hass! :-D

I'm putting this reply to another thread in here, because it's more to do with TGWTG then just the Bum Reviews. I had stated in TGWTG Bum Review - Hancock that I thought Bum Reviews was too similar to Ask A Ninja for me to enjoy it. I didn't say he was copying, stealing, or anything. Just that I could draw a lot of comparisons between the two(mainly the rapid camera angle swaps and the voice) and because of it, I couldn't enjoy the material.

I took your advice, and I have to say it again reminds me too much of Ask A Ninja, just with a smarmy host rather then an insane ninja. Just so everyone knows, I'm not saying he's copying. Just too similar.

TGWTG features I like: Nostalgia Critic, 5 second movies, sketches, random videos and specials.
TGWTG features I don't: Bum reviews, Ask That Guy.

So the material I dig far outweighs the material I don't. In fact, if it was just Nostalgia Critic, I would still dig that enough to ignore the other two.

As far as Bum Reviews and Ask That Guy...they are witty, clever, funny and entertaining but my mind just can't let go enough to enjoy it. Still, it does have good editing in it and I think if I watch it enough, I may be able to enjoy them. We'll see, I will keep watching.

Since his introduction here on The Game Heroes, I've watched just about all of the Nostaltic Critic videos on TGWTG's site and I really like them. I can see why he is so popular because these videos are all well made and very entertaining. After finally seeing Hancock today I decided to check out his Bum Review on it and frankly, I had to stop watching after a few minutes. Does he always yell throughout the entire review? I found it annoying to be honest. I think he should just do away with that character and have the Nostalgia Critic take over doing modern reviews as well.

Edit: Oh yeah I love his 5 second movies, too. Always have.

Ok, I just watched the bum review and I have something to throw out there.....

As I was watching the review a voice in my head was saying "This sounds really familiar"...then I got it. Watch the Bum Review of Hancock and watch how he talks then think....Ask a Ninja. There's something there. I'm not saying they're the same guy but damn they sounded alike.

Reading this I went back and watched some Ask A Ninja and the similarity in intonations and pronouciations (as well as fast-paced editing) were uncanny. So much so that I thought maybe TGWTG is this guy's brother (the one who wrote the travel log for the Nerd encounter). With some quick research I found that the Ninja is played by Douglas Sarine. As far as I know, TGWTG's real name is Doug. Obviously they are not the same guy and I doubt brothers would share the same name.

Still, they share many superficial similarities. I would say that all characters involved are original, creative, and very enjoyable.
