Crashes? Inconviences? Oh...OOOOOOOHHHHH....

Now I get the hate. Meh, I usually walk it off. But I see what you mean, on how annoying it gets. The updates have made those more rare though.

Still, I've gotten so used to it, I don't really think of converting to any other browser. And I don't really think about doing so. It does it's job at a good speed. That's all I really need from it.

OH SHI-
I don't even get why people hate it. It makes no damn sense.

I'd like to add:

Insecure, sloppy render method, doesn't follow W3C standards (This is important!), user interface is less friendly than other browsers, Active X, Absolute abuse of the DOM ... just to name a few more reasons.

So you're saying I'm using a ticking time bomb of an internet browser?

To be fair, Chrome isn't 100% awesome. It's still got issues with flash (Though, the solution is to eliminate flash) and things like that.

I find that, I do generally use Chrome ... but I have to use Firefox plenty also.

Well, thanks to Crono's consulting. I've gone with the dynamic duo of Firefox and Chrome.

I guess Dark's idea of a truce isn't so bad after all.

I use Firefox with thousands of addons on my PC, but due to memory leakage issues on OSX I use chrome on my mac. FIRECHROME GO!

I used chrome for a bit. I'm too used to Firefox to change though. I did like Chrome's simply look though. So much that my Firefox looks like chrome now.

I don't really see many differences in the speed of web browsers. Honestly, choosing between browsers is like jerking off to porn - I can look at all types and still get the job done.

Just make sure you don't get Internet Explorer because it crashes a lot.

Is that like the equivalent of a self inflicted case of blue balls then?

I was going to be trollyface and say "I can't hear you over my Chrome." but it seems that it's generally accepted here.
Some dude that used to be on my skype chat who was keen on all things open source (virus protection included) said...
Well, let me just quote him.

Quote:
>Chrome
>not Chromium

Enjoy your CPU rape.

I have not noticed any spikes in CPU usage, has anyone else?

Chrome over Chromium does use more of the CPU. But, this is most likely due to some extra features. Chromium, for anyone who isn't aware is the google written open source base for Chrome.

So, technically, Chrome is Chromium with more stuff on top. So, yeah it uses more of the CPU.

To note, most people who are software purists ... tend to exaggerate matters based on rather extreme ideals. While I'm all for OSS, and community driven software, I do think proprietary software has its place. With that being said, I don't agree with how proprietary software is generally managed. That is to say, in a controlling manner, strong-arming support for various platforms and new iterations and generally costing you money. Which is where the OSS extremist ideals come from.
