I'm very sad to hear about Destin's departure.

During my unemployed stint, Hard News was party of my everyday routine, and Destin found a place in my heart as a result. I couldn't imagine that show without him.

Hope he goes on to achieve great things.

I have to agree but I don't think he will. Screwattack is partnered with Gametrailers remember and that is where AVGN gets a lot of his views. Millions and millions of them! I'm pretty sure they are paid based on the amount of views they get so it would seem foolish for him to leave.

Umm.... just saw a teaser video on YouTube and apparently Destin is doing a news show called the DailyDL on Pat the NES Punk's website.

Thats something I wasnt expecting. I love Pats work but never watched too much of Destin's stuff, but it seemed alright from what I saw. Either way out of right field fo sho.

The website is actually as old as The Daily DL itself. (from before SA)

He was doing The Daily DL and Weapon of the Week way before doing Hard News and The Armory. Hard News was just a little bit of their ideas with a little bit of his. Now he's back on his own site again after nearly three years doing The Daily DL again.

But I still have no idea why they aren't going with the obvious choice for a new Hard News anchor.

By the way, I actually love Craig temping for Hard News now. He's hilarious, but not trying to emulate Destin. Which is a good choice, since people probably wouldn't like it if someone tried to be Destin without actually being Destin.
