Wow he actually did it. I can now say that I don't take him seriously at all. I mean even douche bags that sit around smoking pot, talking about UFC and playing sports games/Call of Duty aren't this much of a douche, and trust me, I know a lot of people at my school that are like this in almost every way except they aren't this ignorant when it comes to Zelda and other Nintendo games.

Okay, I will admit, he usually does bring up a lot of good points and makes sense on a lot of things but this video was very painful to sit through. Definitely not one of his better ones.

If you don't like that I made this thread, then deal with it and don't post. I want to hear honest opinions of people that have actually watched this. Is it funny? Is it enlightening? Is it accurate? Is it stupid? What are your thoughts?

At the beginning I particularly enjoyed the TGO videos. First video I ever watched was the one where he was doing that whole videogame controversy thing for christmas and where he gave advice for buying games. Fantastic episode. I really liked it. And the episodes before and after were swell.

Then MyVidsSuck came and it all went downhill from there. It became more and more obvious that Bob is running out of mojo. More and more his flaws become apparant and then it came. The GameAntiThinker.

Final nail to the coffin. The man already has a warped perspective of PS3 and 360 users. More specifically "'hardcore gamers'" and then TGAT just really, really, really ... oh god what is that thing? It's an insult to gamers everywhere.

You're late to the party, SA has already had enough bitching over this to fill the entire internet.

The skit is over now and now we can just wait for the usual episodes.

Also, I did find it funny at times. I nearly cried my eyes out at the Scarface nerdout part in the first Anti-Thinker episode.

In my experience, the group of people that he is trying to portray is accurate in the way they dress and the fact that they play lots of sports and FPS games, but definitely not the way they talk. Try talking or asking about Zelda and they will just tell you it isn't their type of game. Worst case scenario they scratch their head wondering what the fuck is a "Zelda" but they aren't going to be complete douche bags about it. Okay well maybe a small small percent of them will be jerks but you can't let that small percent speak for an entire culture.

People always act like these type of gamers are ruining video games and to that I ask, how? They just want to watch UFC, and play the latest Madden and Call of Duty. They aren't a threat to the culture or industry of video games at all.

Look at the entire history of video games and you will see that aside from the 1983 crash of the video game market, their has always been new and innovative games/consoles coming out all the time. Creativity and innovation is something that has always existed in the industry of video games and I'll be damned if a bunch of jocks are going to be the ones to bring down this multi billion dollar industry.

We're pretty much a stroll away and I'm quite sick of people complaining over this. The man is a very hot button issue on that site and it really gets annoying so many blogs about the guy because I know exactly what those blogs attract each time.

BTW, this has been going on for a long while, why not make the topic before it was already over?

I already said this in my first post because I knew that someone like you would come along and tell us how this thread is a bad idea and how we are causing drama, even though by posting, you are actually the one causing more drama then if people were left alone to just talk about The Game Over Thinker. And what's so bad about making a thread discussing his videos? He has no problem putting himself out there for the entire internet to see him so what's it to him or anyone else if people want to talk about his videos?

I made this thread because I wanted to share my opinion on the video and wanted to see if anyone felt the same way and also maybe see some other opinions.

I dont get peoples problems with the anti thinker.... he is quite obviously a caricature, sure no ONE gamer is anywhere near this ignorant or bad, but it is rather a frankinstine's monster of all the little things rolled up into one over the top character he created.

it is a caricature all the little flaws magnified 10 fold, if you went and had an artist draw a caricature of your self, would you complain if he drew your chin the size of a bowling ball even though its not really that size? of course not because you know it is a caricature and satire.

Uh, I wasn't saying this thread would be like this, I was expressing my annoyance of this particular topic at ScrewAttack. Seriously, there are flame wars there because of this topic, and it drives me up a wall. Never once did I say this thread was going to be like that. Rather, I'm wondering why make this thread at all since the skit is now over. Why not just make it earlier?

First of all, I'm fine with people disagreeing with me (people seem to be doing it a lot these days lol). You have the nasty habit of making most of your posts on this forum aimed towards killing discussion, and that was my main problem. I'm okay with the fact that you thought it was a funny video and did you even read my posts? Because if ya did, you would know that I never mentioned that aspect of your post at all.

Second, why do you think I'm mad? I'm not mad. Don't be silly...

Third of all, that's great if this topic has been going on for a long while but I have not been to ScrewAttack and this is not ScrewAttack. I just saw the video and I decided to make a thread asking peoples opinion on the matter so, deal with it.
