Join Mongo, Beeslo, AND Link as they discuss Robots! Wait... no, nevermind, looks like we're going to talk about The Sentry instead. Also, Link steals the beginning of the show, to talk... A LOT. Special guest appearance by *censored beep*.

Y'know...I listened to this earlier today and I only just now after re-reading the episode description got the "special guest appearance by *censored beep*" gag.
I was just like, "I don't understand, there was no special guest.....ohhhhhhh, that time Link(?) got bleeped, derrr".

...I'm so smart! .

Yeneyway.

Since Link was going on a little call out power trip there I gotta make a mini one o' my own for all three o' ya.

There've been like three or four episodes or so since the Writer (not director  ) of the Deadpool movie was revealed and it hasn't been brought up.
I thought sure Link woulda brought it up this time since he brought up the Thor release date, but, nope. Nothin'.
Just kinda surprised by that is all.

Also, Thor animated movie? S'news to me :-? .
But, good news, 'cuz Thor...he's bad ass!
Link's turning around apparently, s'only a matter of time 'fore the rest of ya realise it  .

All around, the whole Sentry thing was fuckin' awesome, but, I gotta say, I was a pretty dissapointed that he turned out to be Norman's "secret weapon".
I mean, that wasn't exactly very surprising. Why was the cabal all surprised like "OMG what's HE doing here!?"?...Hello jackasses he's one of Norman's Dark Avengers, why the fuck wouldn't he be there?
Not to mention the "who's Norman's secret weapon" ads. S'like, it was just a waste of time. Shoulda just let it be known from the beginning 'cuz the mystery wasn't worth it at all if ya ask me.
Aside from that one thing though I love what they're doing with him.

Final note: Joe the Barbarian?...Guess I'll be checkin' that shiz out. Sounds like good times.

This was actual announced a while back, when Hulk Vs. came out, they had some "making of... trailer" for it. It's called "Tales of Asgard" and it's the childhood tales and adventures of Thor and Loki. I'm picking up a DEFINITE "Young Hercules" vibe off of this, if anybody remembers that TV Series/spin-off.

I can't find anything about a Deadpool director being named. I've only see confirmations that the writers of Zombieland are writing the script and that Ryan Reynolds would love it if Tarantino would be the director, but aside from that, I've heard nothing about a confirmed director. Who have you heard, Shady-Triforce? You got a source?

Well, you see I started listening to it and it's been a great episode so far, however I accidentally closed the browser window with it but not before downloading the FLV file so I can replay it, (Still think you should bring back MP3 version) so now I'm waiting for the download to finish and then finish the podcast off.

I'm totally sure it's a good finish to the issue, ;-)

FYI, you'll be in for a surprise when we release the YIBR Extra. There are about two or three 10 - 20 minute "off the rails" conversations that occurred.

CREEPY Fact:

After doing all the editing, by pure coincidence, this Podcast's length is almost EXACTLY the same length as last weeks (it's maybe a second or two shorter.)

I thought this was already mentioned by now, and if not, then it was discussed on the forums.

I brought it up in the "Deadpool thread" over in the comics section, that's the only place I can think of it being on the forums at all. And I definitly don't remember hearing it on the show recently.

Unless I missed something of course which is always a possibility.

Umm where did you see the Marvel Activision split Link? All I can find is that Activision said all of the Ultimate Alliance 2 DLC was for "a limited time only". Plus there's still a page up in the marketplace for the first game and nothing came up about a split in a google search.

As for the Sentry, particularly in Dark Avengers 13
Spoiler
What was up with the Galactus name drop? Is the Void somehow Galactus? And how is the serum related Galactus? And if he is, why would he bother with Osborn?

BTW The whole Sentry/Marvel Zombies thing was revealed back in Marvel Zombies vs The Army of Darkness crossover's 1st issue back in 2007; the last time I think anyone found Marvel Zombies to be relevant.

Yeah, I see that it ONLY applies to Ultimate Alliance DLC specifically, and not actual games. My bad for the lack of specification. I think I read the "Marvel Comics characters" part and missed where they said DLC.

Either way, it's shitastic news that makes NO sense. A lot of people were reacting to the news as if Activision wouldn't be making any more Ultimate Alliance titles. I didn't even realize they NEEDED a separate license for DLC. I mean... what the fuck? I figure if you have the license, then you have the license. The obvious work around is to make "Gold Editions" of every game. Maybe that's what they have in store here:

Step 1: Release the game.

Step 2: Release the DLC.

Step 3: Remove the DLC and ditch the license because if people didn't buy it by now they weren't that interested.

Step 4: Release a gold edition of the game on Disc with the DLC for all the people who haven't bought the game or DLC yet, and avoid paying money for a license renewal.

What does Yamagato even stand for? Fucking weeaboos and Beeslo and Mongo.

Protip: I just passively called Link a "fucking weeaboo" by directing reader assumptions through the process of elimination.

You sunuvabitch! >_<

PS. I have no clue what Yamagato actually stands for. I don't think it stands for anything actually.

From my limited Japanese knowledge, I'd suspect it be just a Japanese surname. At least that's what it sounds like to me.

As a first-time listener, I thought it was a great show. :D (And I'm going to have to get into Deadpool or something if I ever get money that isn't tied to my PS3 fund)

Glad to have another first-timer. Always a pleasure! :D

I'd recommend checking scans of comics out on the Internet if you're too poor to afford comics, either that or hit up your local library and look for Trade Paperbacks. :D

Know of any places for American comics? I only know of a place for Japanese manga.

Demonoid usually waits a few weeks before it publishes scans so that the companies can make their single-issue sales. RapidShare has a surprisingly good collection of comics you can just hunt down.

Are you Swedish? If not, get the hell outta here!!!

:-D

Of course the easiest place to find American comics would be your local comic book store. Way to support illegal actions, Link.

I think they already addressed the fact they were poor. Thus the Library and/or Internet are their only options. Also, like I mentioned, most places avoid posting the latest and greatest comics until they've had some time on the racks. Once those comics hit the back-issue bin they end up on the net for free.

Regardless though, nothing beats having a concrete comic in your hand, especially if you enjoyed it. Makes it a lot easier to share with friends in the real world too, and it's easy to read since the text isn't all microscopic on your monitor, and there's no need for scrolling!

"SENTRY did it!" XD

RSS update, about damn time!

Iron Man game sucked ballz , oh the sequel game, will be made by the same company...

About the Thor stuff, 2011 will be the year of Thor. First the live action movie, then the animated movie and last but not least the animated tv-series, which has no title yet announced.

Speaking of Marvel animation, have any of you guys seen Hulk vs. yet? Also Planet Hulk, will you be seeing it?
