Hey guys, it's Jeff Moreci (aka timbre68), I know that timbre is kind of a gay user name (not that there is anything wrong with that) but Timbre was a cat of mine and it's been my user names since before Link was born. I took your advice and registered on the forum. A few comments. You guys cannot continue to eat Taco Bell or drink Mountain Dew. That stuff will kill you. My colon hurts just thinking about that stuff. Like me, you should live only on a steady diet of coffee and sweets to dunk into the coffee.

Punisher the list was terrific. JRjr has been getting really gory lately (are you reading Kick Ass?)

I can't believe that Link liked the Red Hulk.

See ya!

Kick Ass? Oh yeah, we read it. We would talk about it more if it didn't take a decade for each issue to come out. But Mark Millar has been pretty busy recently...been hearing good things about the movie.

And are you saying you can't believe he read the Red Hulk comic? or can't believe he likes him in general? If its the latter? How can you not like him? Sure he had a very two dimensional start, but his recent depth has brought on a new alluring mystery that can't be ignored.

I think he's just surprised.

What about comedy comics? I grew up reading stuff like old Sam and Max from the eighties, Snake 'n' Bacon, and few others... what else is out there? Any of it good?

This would be interesting, but I don't think a lot of us read those types of comics. I mean, the most "comedy" comics I get into are the "goth" comics like Lenore and what not. I think it'd make a good topic though someday for sure. Nice suggestion.

I might need to agree with you. Although the first 11 or so issues were basically a big fight scene Loeb did throw a curve ball by not having a reveal in the 12th issue. It is alluring not knowing who or what this Red Hulk is but Loeb's track record isn't the greatest. I'm afraid the story is just going to peter out. However, me being wishy washy, I am looking forward to Jeff Parker's the Fall of the Hulks story arc that is coming out December/January.

You should do a topic on superhero storylines you would like to see in a video game form =D

Here's an idea. Spend a month reading the comics that Ray Tate reads, then review them by comparing them to Geoff Johns and Gail Simone comics. See, Ray needs to join this forum so he can defend himself.

Ray gets a bad wrap I think. While it is a fun running gag, I don't want everyone out there to think Ray Tate is some total douche bag who hates our guts or anything. He does actually make a lot of valid points that sound a LOT more valid when he's saying/explaining them then when we are, haha.

I jest Ray because I love. I must add that every book he's recommended has become a favorite of mine (Maze Agency, Modesty Blaise, the Parker novels, etc). His comic book reviews are also spot on. I was actually half serious when I recommended that you review the comics he reads. He's reading stuff that really escapes the mainstream, except for maybe Buffy and Power Girl. He could also recommend a lot of great 70's & 80's comics.

Did Prototype switch to a live setup? I must've missed that. Prototype usually has call-ins on an answering machine and a special hotline number and what not.

Maybe one day we'll just have a "call-in" show over skype where people can call in and talk to us. :D

Speaking about spider man

What was that collection you guys were talking about on one show that had the Sept 11th issue in it?

Is that hard to get?

That's the run by JMS. The September 11th Issue is such a big issue of Spidey that it's generally hard to find.

http://worldsofjms.com/marvel/spiderman.htm

I'm actually VERY surprised it's not on the Marvel Comics reader. :(

It isn't hard to get really. I've seen it at B&N and Borders. It's super easy to get online. Here are the first 2 collections.

http://www.amazon.com/Amazing-Spider-Man-Ultimate-Collection-Book/dp/0785138935/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1260374564&sr=8-2

http://www.amazon.com/Amazing-Spider-Man-Ultimate-Collection-Marvel/dp/0785138943/ref=pd_bxgy_b_img_b

The 2nd collection came out TODAY I believe. I'm gonna see if my comic book store has it later.
