Honestly at this point I think I'm looking far more forward to Green Lantern.
I can't look at commercials and previews for First Class without thinking about what a colossal mess the X-Men film series is at this point and it just drags me down in a big bad way.
Meanwhile when I see Green Lantern I think it looks pretty awesome and not even gonna lie, I get pretty pumped when I hear the oath during the commercials. And I'm not even a big Green Lantern fan, which for all I know helps in my excitement, but, either way, looks like good times to me.
Ditto, save for "not even a big Green Lantern fan". I've never really cared for any of the X-men movies because they don't make any sense. They always remind me of the Resident Evil movies: its like whoever is making it never bothered with hands on time with the source material and just picked and chose ideas they heard about. Each movie seems to be a collection of over the top set pieces with "meh" plotlines. In the end its a colossal mess.
GL on the other hand looks like its following Green Lantern Origins (albeit loosely) and a good popcorn movie. I don't expect "The Dark Knight" quality of a film; but for the record I don't expect that from any comic book movie; Captain America included. Doesn't mean it won't be entertaining. The first trailer was ok, but each subsequent trailer has made it look better and better; and while I'm not a fan of tons of CG, here it makes sense to me. Its a suit made out of light (as are all of the constructs) and CG seems the most reasonable way to do it. If it was Batman or Superman then yeah that would look out of place.
