I can kinda see your point about changing it , but at the same time everyone knew Dennis hopper had cancer and could have changed their list to reflect that.

maybe give everyone a limited number of changes, you can change your list 5 times, at any time, for any reason, but after youve used up your 5 changes, your list is locked in.

I'll justify my rules, logic and reasoning behind my winning ways soon.

Now, to explain my picks:

Ted Kennedy was on my list long before I even introduced it to this forum. I got to him before he even had that initial collapse, the one he came out of. I consider that pick not unlike somebody having Cheney on their list. He's still fair game, by the way.

Dennis Hopper was put on with the whole cancer deal. Problem is, you have no way of knowing WHEN something will happen, and there could always have been the possibility of him hanging on until the end of this cycle (December). I put him on long before the gloom-and-doom outlook he was in at the end. I consider that pick not unlike Dixie Carter of Designing Women (not to be confused with the TNA lady), who nobody had on their lists. And yes, I'm ashamed to have overlooked that one.

Gary Coleman is as fair as it gets. I had him based on being in generally poor health with kidney trouble, and he died of a different cause altogether.


We could revamp the "rules" all we want, but I'd hate for this to become something where we can't have fun cheering for somebody's death. If you can't have fun wishing for someone to die purely for bragging rights, what could you ever do for fun again? Besides, I told all of you before that you should treat this thing with the professionalism it deserves. I'm fine with throwing in a "no hospice" rule, but past that, my initial idea of changing the list as often as you want within the time frame is fair game. I've got plenty of non-criticals left on my list, too. I'm just bitter that I could have gotten at least twice as many by now if I was a bit more savvy, especially with that Corey Haim one. Damn.

I you check almost ANY news site that gave information on Dennis Hopper's health when he first for cancer (Dec/Jan) it said repeatedly that docotrs gave him A MONTH to live. So when you change a person on your list based on that, naturally I would have a problem. But I'm bored of fighting my cause, whatevs.

Rue McClanahan? GODDAMMIT. I really came close to choosing her over Betty, too. And to think, I would have been up 4-0. Oh well, only 1 Golden Girl left!

Jesus Christ, I'm terrible at this. The closest I've come so far is Helen Thomas's career dying.

I'm going to swap out Heidi Montag for Barbara Billingsley and Lindsey Lohan for Patty Andrews. Also, given recent events with our war in the Middle East, I'm removing Osama Bin Laden and replacing him with Tony Malinosky, the oldest living baseball player.
