Personally, I agree. Kids shouldn't be playing games like GTA, but it's not the government's decision to do anything about it. It's the parents' decision. And the sad thing is that the parents don't do a thing about it. They will buy them just to shut them up. I know when I have kids and when they're old enough to hold the controller, I'll be monitoring each and every game they'll ever own.
I kind of agree with this.
I don't condone little kids playing grand theft auto games, but at the same time I don't think it is doing much harm, other than little kids spending more time on video games then they do studying. I don't see how anyone wouldn't be able to see the difference between fantasy violence and real life unless they had some mental or psychological disorder to begin with but nevertheless, it doesn't hurt to monitor what games you buy your kids, and the sad thing is that most parents don't care what their kids are playing. when I was a kid I never got to play games like mortal kombat or duke nukem. hell I had this one friend and I wasn't even allowed to play at his house just because he had mortal kombat. it's not hard to make the choice to buy your kid a mario game over something like call of duty, and your kid will most likely have a lot of fun with either game. this has been the age old argument with video games and it still holds up today. violent video games shouldn't be banned just because parents are irresponsible.
