Rules

1. All normal forum rules apply.

2. NO JOKES! This isn't the topic for funny pictures or wise ass remarks.

3. Serious topics need to be well thought out when written, they also need to have well thought out replies. Please try to write more than a single sentence. Back up your opinion with facts or something else.

4. Keep a cool and calm head, especially about things such as politics, gay rights, religion, etc. People are allowed to have differing opinions than you, please don't view them as personal attacks, please don't start any sort of major drama or get all offended here. In the end, we're all friends still.

5. Use common sense when posting in here, which simply means ask yourself if this is something really worth posting, are you intentionally being mean to someone, if your topic is ridiculously controversial (IE. Baby Eating), are you accidentally bashing Christianity on Easter Day, etc.

6. In your posts, please try to clarify whether you're speaking based on fact or personal experiences as it will lead to less misunderstandings. Please do not state opinions as if they were facts without proof to back it up.

7. NO DRUNK POSTING.

Failure to comply with any of these rules (additional rules may be added in the future as needed) will result in a warning or perhaps a banning from the 'Why So Serious?' sub-forum. The severity of the punishment works in tandem with the severity of your actions.

We get to vote today and pick our next government :serious: . Although it'll probably be another Conservative minority, I'm curious to see who you all voted for. Myself, I voted NDP.

I have this running joke with my parents that "my confidence is with the Bloc." XD

But seriously, they voted NDP. As long as they are not the leaders of government they're fine, NDP would be good for our particular riding.

This year's election is the biggest shitfest in the past 20 years.

All the parties just pretty much revealed that they're the lowest of the scum. This election is just about priorities, you're just choosing the inevitable.

You're just voting on what aspect of Canada you want to fuck up and float topside first (eg. economy, international-relations, etc)

A lot of people have the same feelings. 59% voter turnout. Thats the lowest ever.

This election was incredibly pointless. The Conservatives won but gained nothing or lost anything. Someone explain to me why it even happened. Did the Conservatives want a majority government or something?

yep. Didnt go as they wanted to...the only difference that happened, was that theres more NDP seats, more conservative seats, and about 20 less liberal seats, leaving the liberals at the worst number in awhile.

I can picture the Liberals giving Dion the boot within the year. What a freaking waste of our budget, pretty much nothing happened

Dion's getting the boot, thank god. We'll see if the new leader... will actually be a leader.

Anyways, to the 41% that chose not to vote, you have no right to complain about how the country is run. I'm pissed that Harper called this stupid election as well, but the best way to make him pay is to vote against him. Make him lose some seats. By not voting you're really not proving anything.

I only vote when I see someone who deserves a vote...none of them, through my eyes, deserve my vote.

Then you shouldn't complain on how the country is run, what your tax money is spent on etc.
