Can you give us some examples?
National health care. Plenty of people who don't have it don't pay taxes, have nice cars, iPods, computers, etc, but they just choose not to pay for health care. What this is going to amount to is LINES at the hospitals, and the wrong people are going to be there, abusing it, and getting in the way of the people who really need to get into the care of doctors, etc. Anyways, the money that we'd be paying the government for said health care would be more than if we just paid for it ourselves, and assholes who don't even abide by the rules are going to get all the benefits. There are no "LINES" and "horrible people abusing the system" with universal healthcare man. In Canada we have a choice to ether pay for private, or if you have no money its free. Sure sometimes there is a wait, but if you are dieing you are admitted right away, and if its not that serious the time waiting is very small. As a Canadian I just cannot understand some Americans being so afraid of free healthcare. All my American family wants it, and the right to care should not be evaluated based on your pocket book. The whole idea behind it is taking care of one another, so I fail to see how its a bad thing.
I live in Alberta, which is a very conservitive province. Because of this we pay a nominal fee for our health care which works out to $150 every 3 months. My cousin took her kid to see and American doctor 3 times last month and it cost over $400 dollars, which is unfortunatly NOT covered by her insurance company, due to "contractual stipulations" <------ What the hell is that??
You can always tell the true measure of a country by how it takes care of itself, and from the outside it doesn't look like things are honky dory down there.
Honestly, I hope you guys vote for Obama, as your the one super power in the world, and the person running your country carries a ton of responsibility.
